Three Celebrities In Hot Water Is Never Good For One’s Reputation

Nothing is worse for a celebrity than landing themselves in hot water. Unfortunately, some stars don’t learn to take ownership of their mistakes. Landing themselves in hot water is not ideal for their reputations. Especially when they’ve denied wrongdoing; take the R. Kelly situation, where he spent twenty-five years getting away with raping women. Then, we have the ongoing crisis with Ezra Miller, where they have had constant run-ins with the law for assault and now alleged kidnapping. Finally, Ezra’s DCEU costar, Amber Heard, cannot understand that she lost the defamation trial against Johnny Depp.

We will cover as many of these stories as possible, as we haven’t followed them in great detail. Please note that these pieces of information do contain conversations about rape, sexual assault, kidnapping and domestic violence.

R. Kelly – Raping Women And Accusing Them Of Wanting His Money

R. Kelly started his R&B career in 1989. He even provided the hit song; I Believe I Can Fly for the hit 90s family film Space Jam. However, the hits came to a brief halt as early as 2000 when the US newspaper, the Chicago Sun-Times, reported that an investigation was underway into claims the R&B singer had sexual intercourse with a girl who was underage at the time. The girl alleged that in 1991 when she was fifteen, Kelly had sex with her. The young woman put the information forward in 1996, but the story came out four years later. The girl and Kelly settled in 1998, two years before the report went public.

Unfortunately, the investigation had to be dropped as there wasn’t enough evidence to prove he did anything wrong. Nevertheless, the music kept coming, but so did the allegations. Over the years, he has been accused of illegally marrying the fifteen-year-old singer Aaliyah. The allegation was made by the late singer’s uncle, Barry Hankerson. Kelly and Aaliyah denied they were ever married and were just friendly. However, in 2021, during the sexual assault case against Kelly, a witness alleged that Kelly had been sexually pursuing Aaliyah since she was in her early teens.

A few years before she died in a 2001 plane crash, Aaliyah had the marriage certificate expurgated as she had lied about her age at the time of the marriage. She had issued a fake ID that claimed she was 18.

R. Kelly’s Situation Just Got Worse

As time passed, Kelly’s life went from bad to worse. He ended up getting involved in sex trafficking and racketeering. He accused all the women who came forward of wanting his money. This is reminiscent of Harvey Weinstein, who accused 90 women of lying about him sexually assaulting them.

You cannot make this stuff up. Also, Donna Rotunno, Weinstein’s Men’s Rights lawyer, became a laughing stock, but that’s beside the point. The point is that a wealthy man believes he did nothing wrong by having sex with women under the age of consent.

R. Kelly has been sentenced to 30 years behind bars, where he could potentially die as he will be 85 by the time he gets out.

Ezra Miller – In Hot Water For Multiple Offences

The last few months have been difficult for Ezra Miller. They went from one of Hollywood’s most-well known non-binary actors to one of the infamous almost overnight. They’re known best for playing Barry Allen/The Flash in the DCEU, but they’ve gotten into much legal trouble. After getting into trouble in Hawaii, Miller has been accused of brainwashing 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes, a fellow non-binary person using the pronouns she/they.

According to Tokata’s parents, Miller started brainwashing their child when she was twelve. The allegations haven’t stopped. Given The Flash is due out in 2023, doing a press tour for the film without the central star will be challenging.

Ezra Miller’s Problems

What adds more salt to the wounds of Iron Eyes’ parents is that Miller is doing everything they can to evade being caught and served a restraining order. There is so much to this story we’re willing to go into, but the allegations against Ezra don’t stop Tokata or the incidents in Hawaii. They were also caught on camera choking a fan, and there’s another current situation where they’re accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-old child.

Whatever the outcome, we hope the person gets the help he needs. However, it is clear that they aren’t mentally stable and need an intervention.

Amber Heard – In Hot Water Due To Domestic Violence Allegations

Amber Heard has been in the news a LOT in recent weeks. This is due to the defamation case against her served by her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. The conclusion was she had lied on all counts issued. Heard has since attempted to do damage control and has blamed everyone for her failings.

Johnny, meanwhile, has gotten his life back. He is doing what she wants him to do; leave her alone. However, Amber is still going after him, attempting to bait him, but it’s not working. Also, she has now found herself in an even bigger bind. It is reported that she is currently being investigated for perjury in Australia. So her legal troubles are going from bad to worse.

So much for saying she wanted nothing in the divorce from Johnny. Instead, it has come out that she demanded various things, including keeping her car and penthouses. It has been rumoured that her role in Aquaman 2 was almost recast due to a lack of chemistry with Jason Momoa. Walter Hamada, the head of DC Films, revealed the rumour was confirmed during the defamation case. There is also speculation that her role will be drastically reduced in the upcoming film. Heard has denied this.
