4 Times Meghan Markle Thought She Looked Better Than Catherine, The Princess Of Wales

Meghan Markle hates Catherine, the Princess of Wales, to the point that she has the constant thought she looks better in… well, everything. The goal of this post is to explore four examples of outfits that were the total opposite of what the former actress had in mind.

This is just our thoughts and opinions. Also, we are not body shaming anyone.

1. Red v. Gold

There has been a lot of commentary on Meghan’s red Intrepid Gala dress from a few years back compared to Catherine’s gold James Bond dress.

Meghan’s gown was known as the Carolina Herrera Plunge Neck Silk-Faille Gown In Poppy Red, which didn’t look good on the model and cost over $5k. Catherine’s gold dress is known as the Jenny Packham Goldfinger Gown. It’s unclear how much the dress costs.

It’s clear here that Meghan thought she looked better than Catherine, but in reality, her narcissism took over. Markle seems to ignore that she is not as tall as she thinks and doesn’t have the bust to fill out the cups of the dress.

Catherine, meanwhile, knows what looks good on her as she has the curves and the height to fill out her dress

2. Black And White

Meghan has to outdo Catherine in everything she wears, but at times, her ego gets the better of her and her attempt to look better backfires. Instead of wearing something that is vaguely similarly, she wore something that is 95% a copy with a few small differences.

As we referenced in our previous post about the things Meghan ‘copied’ from Catherine, one of the things Meghan directly stole was the black and white look, a month or so after the then-Duchess of Cambridge had worn a Roland Mouret gown to the Top Gun: Maverick London premiere.

Meghan wore a Gabriela Hearst strapless jumpsuit in New York while on “date night.”

There are differences between the two outfits, outside of one being a dress and the other being a jumpsuit. Meghan’s doesn’t go across the shoulders and has ties in the back, which look sloppy.

3. Wedding

Now, this next one is a doozy. Meghan thought her Givenchy boatneck wedding dress was better than Catherine’s. Nothing about the former actress’ wedding dress screams “timeless” or “elegant”. It is… bland.

Catherine’s Alexander McQueen gown by Sarah Burton is iconic. It is timeless and is up there with Grace Kelly’s Helen Rose-made wedding dress when she married Prince Rainier III in 1956.

Meghan must have looked at Princess Angela of Liechtenstein’s wedding dress, thought it looked better than Catherine’s, and demanded that Givenchy make her something similar. It wouldn’t be surprising if she wanted something else as there were rumblings that the dress she ended up with was not great.

Just ask Katy Perry.

If Katy Perry is telling you that your wedding dress looked too big, you take her advice. We know we would.

Catherine’s dress fit her like a glove. Meghan’s was wrinkled and hung off her like a sack. Also, the veil was too much for the bride’s second wedding. She acted as if she was going to be Queen as she had all the flowers of the Commonwealth on her veil. The only royal woman to have the flowers on anything was Queen Elizabeth II on her coronation gown.

4. Upstage At Prince Louis’ Christening

Okay, we all know how much Meghan loves being the centre of attention. When her nephew Prince Louis was christened in 2018, the dress code was blue and cream. However, Markle wore a Ralph Lauren khaki/olive green dress. Catherine wore a white Alexander McQueen dress, yet Meghan attempted to outshine Louis and Catherine.

When you look at the full group photo, Meghan is the one your eye is drawn to. Why? Because she is wearing something that draws your eye away from Catherine and Louis.
