Who Is Hunter In Star Wars?

Hunter, Star Wars

Star Wars fans have been well-acquainted with the clones since 2002’s Attack of the Clones. The sequel series to Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch, introduced the likes of Hunter, Tech, Crosshair, Echo, Omega and Wrecker. Hunter, Wrecker, Tech and Crosshair are unique clones who have abnormalities, while Echo, a normal clone, joined the group’s ranks much later. Omega, is one of a handful of female clones who were not aged up, unlike her brothers.

This post will focus on Hunter, a good segue into the drop of the first three episodes of The Bad Batch‘s final season. Also, please read our review of Season 2, episode 6.

Hunter is the group leader and the head of Clone Force 99, better known as The Bad Batch. He is one of the millions of clones born from the DNA harvested from bounty hunter Jango Fett.

Unlike ‘regs’, such as Echo, Hunter is unique and can read electromagnetic frequencies in ways that might be wrong on maps of the enemy. Combat comes easy to him as he is skilled in numerous weapons, but his preferred weapon is trusty vibro-blade.

The Heavy Lifting

Hunter is also the one everyone turns to for advice, especially young Omega, who looks upon him as a father figure.

What’s fascinating about all of the Batch is that their inhibitor chips weren’t working during Order 66. When they returned to Kamino, they had no idea why their brothers were suddenly supporting Palpatine. Though, after Wrecker’s chip started acting up, they each had theirs removed.

Hunter is also the one who has to put up with the most attitude from people. He put up with it from Crosshair and Cid.
