The Inhabitants of The Apollo Cabin

Apollo, cabin

Apollo. God of the sun. Younger twin brother of Artemis, though he thinks he’s older. His kids reside in cabin #7 at Camp Half-Blood, and Apollo is one of the few Greek gods who doesn’t have a different name given to him by the Romans.

So, this post will be short as there are not as many known campers as there are with Hermes cabin. Now, we won’t include Victoria from the Lightning Thief movie video game as she’s not in the books—everyone else we will. We won’t include Apollo when he was made mortal by Zeus, as it is his cabin.

So, the first two individuals were head counsellors of the Apollo cabin, who died during the Battle of Manhattan during The Last Olympian. Michael Yew and Lee Fletcher. After their deaths, the head counsellor became Will Solace, who would date Nico Di Angelo, son of Hades. Will is also the head healer at camp.

Then we have Austin Lake, Kayla Knowles, Jerry, Gracie and Yan. Like with the Hermes cabin, there are more boys than girls. Also, Apollo is the only known god with a demigod child with a same-sex mortal parent.

Same-Sex Parents

Kayla Knowles has Apollo as her immortal dad and a mortal dad named Darren. It would be insanely interesting to see how she was born and whether her birth was similar to how the Athena kids are born, through Athena’s thoughts. It’s also apparent that Kayla is Apollo and Darren’s biological child. Given Darren would have no means to have a child biologically, given he’s human, it’s more than possible that it was Apollo who had the child. Or Darren might be transgender. It hasn’t been clarified, and nothing has been referenced as to whether this is true. Moreover, this is a theory.

Apollo wasn’t as picky with his choice of lovers as the other gods. If he were attracted to them, he would get with them.

Finally, the children of Apollo are known for having solar arrows and a golden chariot. That was destroyed by Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena and Butch, son of Iris, during the first few chapters of The Lost Hero.
