Meghan Markle Continues To Slam Hollywood While Trying To Be A Heavyweight Producer – OPINION

Having a foreign royal title means nothing in Hollywood and Meghan Markle seems not to understand this. During her weekly Archetypes Spotify podcast, she has slammed a ton of heavyweights, such as Quentin Tarantino. She also dissed Deal or No Deal, which resulted in backlash from her former castmates. So, what happens when you have the answer to your desire to become a heavyweight when doors are constantly being shut in your face? Well…

If throwing African-American journalist Allison P. Davis under the bus doesn’t surprise you, nothing will. As the ladies at Exposing SMG have said, how is it Allison’s fault that she wrote an article based on what she observed during her time with the former actress? Rumour has it, based on a tweet from the writer, that she was allegedly fired from her job with The Cut on Markle’s orders. The ironic part? Davis is a black woman. You know… the ethnicity that the sexpot Z-lister is meant to identify with?

Also, we all know that the chat with Oprah was revenge for Meghan’s inability to make the moves to fit into the royal family. So basically, Markle threw Ms Davis under the bus like she did her in-laws because she didn’t tell the narrative she wanted. For more on the Allison v. Meghan drama, check out ESMG’s post.

Living In Hollywood

You might be wondering what I’m trying to get at here. Well, let me tell you. Meghan might think she has a steady foothold in Hollywood because she’s lived and breathed it due to being on Suits, a show that only people with cable could watch. However, she doesn’t realise that she is now a household name due to who she married. Before Prince Harry, she could disparage anyone and say anything she wanted, and the media wouldn’t pick on it as no one cared. However, now, she needs to watch herself.

Before Her Majesty The Queen died, Meghan knew she could make whatever claims she wanted. However, now that her father-in-law, Charles, is king, she and Harry are trying to backpedal on many things they’ve said in various projects. Never mind what Harry claimed on the James Corden Bus Tour before Oprah with Meghan and Harry. According to what I have heard on the Twitter grapevine, Lady O or her people were NOT happy with him spilling his guts outside of the deal they had.

Taking Aim At Hollywood On Archetypes

Meghan might be familiar with the little leagues in Hollywood, but she doesn’t have what it takes to run around with the big fish. After throwing Austin Powers and Kill Bill under the bus, you would think she would stop. But, nope. Mike Myers has come out and said he had great respect for The Queen and was saddened by her death.

Mike is a native of Canada, which, as most people will know, is a Commonwealth country. He even got to visit Buckingham Palace. I don’t know if he’s a monarchist, but if he’s praising Her Majesty, then he would defend it in her name. These are my thoughts. Anyway, Meghan’s gripe with Austin Powers, one of Myers’ works, is that the Asian women in the film were objectified. In layman’s terms, she has no sense of humour as the idea was mocking the stereotype, which is the whole point of satire.

Then, we get to what I mentioned earlier with Kill Bill. The film had an Asian woman at the head of the Yuzuka. Also, Quentin Tarantino is a big deal in Hollywood. You do NOT want to eff with him and those who know him. Just by insulting his work, M has had the doors shut in her face by multiple people.

Tarantino works with many people, including some of the world’s biggest names, including Lucy Liu, who has spoken about her role in Kill Bill. If Meghan thought she could attend primary functions with them to get them to give her attention, she has another thing coming. The same applies to Mike Myers. She can forget about starring or having any association with his comedies.

Trying To Create The New Goop

It has been said that Meghan, before meeting Prince Harry, wanted her lifestyle blog, The Tig, to be like Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop. Here’s the problem with that. Gwyneth has talent and has been in Hollywood for a long time. She won an Academy Award for Shakespeare in Love. Markle was nowhere near that level of intrigue. Goop is worth millions and is well-known for its jade eggs that help strengthen the whoha. I have no idea, as I don’t follow her weird pseudoscience love. Oh, she is speaking of lady parts! Remember when there were candles on sale that smelled like that? Well, they still have it, plus a… sequel?

The Tig had followers, but it never really took off the way Meghan thought it would. Why? Because she wasn’t famous enough. By the time she shut down her Instagram account, she had about 3 million followers, which is about the same number of people who watched Suits. Now, I can guarantee you that the viewers who watched the show on USA Network did not watch the show purely for her and followed her for that reason. So no, I believe she might have bought followers.

I have no way of proving this, but since she was desperate to be seen as influential in Harry’s eyes, she had to do something. Moreover, this is just my theory. Meghan would’ve done virtually anything to marry up because she needed the money, as no one offered her work. The casting directors of everything she auditioned for could see she had no talent. She only achieved the stardom she did because of the men in her life at the time.

Husbands And Dirty Tactics

Trevor was the breadwinner in their relationship, and Meghan had to lean on him until she got Suits, divorced him, and mailed her rings back in the mail. If that’s not a horrible thought, I don’t know what is. Let’s not forget what Thomas Markle told Tom Bower. He said that Engelson had been devastated by the divorce and that Meghan told her mother, Doria, her husband was “mean to her.”

This implies she lied and wanted to give the allusion that Trevor was violent towards her. No allegations have come forward from the Sussex camp. The information came from Tom Bower’s book, Revenge. If I’m honest, I would not be surprised if Meghan pulls a similar stunt if she goes to divorce Harry to get the kids.

Now, we’ve seen custody battles in Hollywood before. There’s one playing out between exes Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, where Jolie has thrown around domestic violence. As an alleged result, it has turned at least one of their six children against their father. I’m not sure how true that is, but I know the allegations against Pitt were made a while ago, and it’s still dragging through the US court system.

Trevor has too much respect for Hollywood to talk openly about his time as Meghan’s ex-husband. However, an article from She Finds claims that Engelson is allegedly writing his own book. I haven’t heard anything else about this, so whether or not this is true is anyone’s guess. Markle believes she can do much better in the producer field than her former spouse.

Meghan: Not A Hollywood Producer

Unlike Trevor, most Meghan’s projects were not given the green light for production. Rumour has it that most of the pitches she and Harry gave were turned down because they were vanity projects. However, Netflix finally agreed to two projects; Pearl and Heart of Invictus. Unfortunately, Pearl was cut due to budgetary issues and possibly other things. There has been speculation that the story was taken from Chelsea Clinton’s children’s books about a time-travelling little girl meeting women in history. The girl would’ve been pre-teen Meghan as her name means pearl. Heart of Invictus is still in production and has been for three years.

There is also the reality show/docuseries about the Sussex ‘love story’ that is supposed to be coming out around the fifth Season of The Crown. It doesn’t matter anymore, as neither Meghan nor Harry know a thing about the industry’s inner workings. All Markle can do is get her clothes off.
