Jason Momoa Reportedly Tried To Get Amber Heard Fired

Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Aquaman

Jason Momoa has always been a cool dude, which made him suitable to play Aquaman alongside Amber Heard as Mera. However, it appears not all things were rosy between the costars. It’s all coming from allegations of zero chemistry to the lead actor allegedly dressing like Johnny Depp. There’s no stopping it.

So, according to Page Six, Amber Heard told her therapist, Doctor Dawn Hughes, that Jason had shown up to the Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom set drunk, dressed like her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

Jason Momoa And Amber Heard Had Zero Chemistry

There have been stories for a while that Jason Momoa and Amber Heard had zero chemistry, confirmed by Walter Hamada, the head of DC Films during this time. During the defamation trial, Hamada said there was never any discussion of recasting the role of Mera.

However, there is a reason why Amber Heard wasn’t fired, and it has to do with her ex-boyfriend, Elon Musk, even though he’s not a Hollywood person. He has so much money that he could afford to threaten to sue Warner Brothers for “wrongful termination” of his then-girlfriend.

Jason Momoa’s team refused to comment. However, the story that surfaced in Variety has refuted the story told by Amber Heard and her legal defence. They’ve said Jason was an absolute professional, and his Bohemian style has nothing to do with Johnny Depp.

James Wan Gets Dragged Into The Jason Momoa-Amber Heard Drama

Moreover, Jason Momoa was not the only person dragged into the Amber Heard drama. The film’s director, James Wan, was thrown under a bus, too. Heard claimed that Wan treated her “like a pariah” and wouldn’t allow her to post anything about Aquaman. The therapy notes also reveal that no one was allowed to take selfies with Heard due to the blackout.

Now, which blackout is being referenced here is unclear. We also don’t know if there was one blackout or two. It could have been referring to the defamation case, or it could have been the one relating to the film. For those who mightn’t know, when a big project is in production, the actors and crew are told they cannot post anything about it to social media. They cannot even talk about it at conventions. One example is Hayden Christensen, who was asked at a convention if he was in Ahsoka and wasn’t allowed to say.

Amber Heard’s complaint about not being allowed to take selfies is a bit stupid because what usually happens is that actors are allowed to take selfies but are not allowed to post them later. Marvel Studios has a similar rule, which is why you don’t get a ton of leaks from sets. Some things might leak about plot details from scoopers, but something like this is usually as ironclad as they can get it.
