Lori Loughlin just doesn’t get it. There’s a high chance of her going to prison, but according to a prison consultant, she doesn’t understand why she was charged with a federal crime…
She’s the actress best known for having the squeaky clean image though now, she’s charged with a federal crime. That’s right, folks. We’re back to talking about the college admissions scandal and Lori Loughlin.
In an unsurprising turn of events, the former Full House star has contacted a prison consultant for help in preparing her for the likelihood of her going to prison. According to Mercury News, Prison Consultant and former inmate Larry Levine allegedly received a phone from a woman who wouldn’t identify herself. He said that he knew exactly who was on the other end of the call and that she was “clueless” of what was happening with her. Levine also stated in the article that he didn’t consider taking Loughlin’s case because she was “too high maintenance”.
She also appeared to not understand the difference between a federal crime and a state crime. Larry also came to the conclusion that she had other people helping her and that “she only wanted someone to tell her what she wanted to hear”.
We Weigh In
We’ve followed this whole situation since last March and we have to admit, it’s exhausting. It’s cumbersome to read what the Giannulli/Loughlin think is the right thing. Also, from what we read in the same Mercury News article as mentioned above, the same judge is presiding over the Loughlin/Giannulli case as the Toby Macfarlane case.
Just to clarify, Toby Macfarlane was an insurance executive in San Diego that bribed his son and daughter into USC. His method of doing so is the same way Loughlin and her husband used to pretend their daughters were athletes. Unlike them, MacFarlane pleaded guilty, despite the advice of his legal team. He got sent to gaol for six months. The judge didn’t accept him believing that his bribe was being sent to legitimate charity.
This could be the case for Loughlin and Giannulli as well. However, their sentence might be much greater as they’re pleading not guilty. Allegedly, she’s even asked her onscreen husband, John Stamos to look after her girls if she does go to prison. Mind you, this is coming from Gossip Cop. Please take this with a grain of salt.
We’ll have more info when the case goes to trial.
