It’s no secret that RJ Forrester worships his grandfather, Eric Forrester. While he knew his granddad was sick, he didn’t realise how much until now. With a bit of prompting from his grandfather’s partner and RJ’s aunt, Donna Logan, the young designer now knows how serious his grandpa’s condition is: fatal.
It’s devastating for RJ to hear that Eric is dying. Here, he begs his grandfather to give up the fashion challenge and tell Ridge what is happening. Moreover, RJ is not the only family member who finally found out. When she returned to the house after forgetting her phone, Katie, one of Donna’s sisters, accidentally found out when she overheard Donna and Eric talking.
Katie is close to Eric, as he’s like a second father to her, but will she tell Ridge? Only time will tell. However, we know Eric isn’t going anywhere because John McCook has signed a contract for three additional years.
Honestly, they need to bring Bridget back to treat her father. It seems incredibly annoying that the writers have made up some random illness because they haven’t revealed exactly what he has. This is no different to when Sally Spectra II faked a terminal illness to win Wyatt Spencer back from Flo Logan. All Sally had was stress, yet her doctor friend helped her make it look worse than it was.
How are the writers going to weasel out of this one? Eric is coughing up blood like he has lung cancer, but his hands are shaking. How are those two symptoms related again? We’re super confused.
