You cannot have a series about Ahsoka Tano without having some involvement from her former master, Anakin Skywalker. As we approach the Ahsoka series, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Hayden Christensen is involved. Moreover, this is the second industry publication that has given this news.
In mid-October 2021, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Hayden would appear in the Ahsoka after his Star Wars comeback in Obi-Wan Kenobi, which premiered in late May 2022.
Neither publication has revealed Christensen’s role in the series as the Jedi turned Sith Lord will have been deceased five years before the premiere. We speculate that he could appear in flashbacks to The Clone Wars, as a Force ghost to Ahsoka or even in alternate visions of events if the story had taken a different route.
How Anakin Could Appear
Anakin has been name-dropped in recent trailers. We hope the show will answer many unanswered questions, such as how and when Ahsoka met Luke and how much she told him about his father. Also, it would be nice to see Anakin and Ahsoka and recap some of their past, especially when she was young.
As far as we know, Ahsoka has not spoken to Anakin’s force ghost. Having Hayden jump back in this could be fascinating. The most significant indication he was in the show was when he skirted around an Ahsoka-related question at a recent fan event. Someone asked him if he was in the series, and he wouldn’t answer.
In conclusion, we could not be more excited to see Hayden in Ahsoka. Be sure to watch the two-episode premiere on August 23 only on Disney+.
