Welcome to the Disney+ era, Ahsoka.

Snips is about to get her own show! We’ve known for a while that the Ahsoka series is coming to Disney+ soon. Star Wars Celebration a couple of weeks ago gave us a tiny peek into what characters will appear in the series while remaining secretive about others. We’ve done a what we know so far post, but we wanted to cover who will appear in the series. All the information in this post is from the Mando+ panel at Star Wars Celebration. We’ve mentioned some Ahsoka stuff in our Obi-Wan-Rebels references post.

Just in case this post contains spoilers, we’ve added a warning.

Ahsoka Tano (Obvs!)

You cannot have a series called Ahsoka without the titular character. The series has been dubbed a metaphorical Rebels Season 5 but in live-action where Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Ahsoka. However, the narrative for the show is unknown, though it might be linked to Ahsoka’s first live-action appearance in The Mandalorian Season 2. She goes up against Morgan Elsbeth, whose master is Grand Admiral Thrawn, who last appeared during the Star Wars Rebels Season 4 finale after he disappeared with Ezra Bridger. We might also get an explanation as to why Vader wanted her dead.

A few things might be confirmed or references from The Mandalorian and The Book of Fett. One of these is why Ahsoka hasn’t referenced Anakin as her master and how she came to meet Luke and how she looks at him and sees his father.

Hera Syndulla

From what was shown at the Mando+ panel at Celebration, a clip was shown where we see Ahsoka walking with a Twi’lek. While we don’t see this individual’s face, the vibrant green skin shows this is Hera Syndulla, the captain of the Ghost and a friend to Ahsoka. We don’t know who is playing her as of yet, but there has been speculation that she may be portrayed by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, the wife of Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi).

Hera was referenced as General Syndulla during Rogue One. We did a whole post on the Syndulla clan.

Sabine Wren

The Mando+ panel also confirmed speculation lingering for a few months about Sabine Wren showing up in Ahsoka. Natasha Liu Bordizzo will portray Sabine in the series. In addition, there was a small glimpse at a shot that recreated the final frame from the Rebels finale. This was of Sabine looking at the mural she created.

Chopper (C1-10P)

Everyone’s favourite cantankerous astromech droid, Chopper, will appear too. This will be the character’s second live-action appearance after his cameo in Rogue One. Rosario invited Chopper onto the Celebration stage, where he stole the show as usual.

Unknown Character

Now, this final confirmed character is unknown. The footage that was shown had a hand trying to use the Force. The hand, allegedly, doesn’t give away any indications as to who it belongs to. There’s been a couple of suggestions that it may belong to either Ezra Bridger or Hera’s son, Jacen Syndulla.

Appearances In Sabine’s Mural

To end this post, we wanted to address Sabine’s mural. We want to stress that while actual appearances are unconfirmed for now, they might change. We’ll provide an update in a later post when we know more.

  • Ezra Bridger – disappeared with Thrawn into the Unknown regions.
  • Garazeb “Zeb” Orellios – on Lira San.
  • Kanan Jarrus – deceased by the time of the series and the father of Jacen.
