We’ve seen stranger things on The Bold and the Beautiful regarding paternity. Brooke Logan didn’t know who her daughter Bridget Forrester’s father was. Steffy Forrester had to do two paternity tests for both of her children. The list goes on. But is anyone surprised that Bill Spencer is more than likely Luna Nozawa’s daddy? We’re not.
Dollar Bill had a habit of sleeping around when he was young. Look at what happened when his first son, Liam Cooper (now Liam Spencer), showed up. The media mogul learned that his former girlfriend, Kelly Hopkins, had become pregnant by him. She had also been involved with Thorne Forrester.
Kelly died of cancer before Liam arrived in Los Angeles. She knew who Liam’s father was but never told him because she felt he would be a bad influence on their son. A few years later, Bill discovers he had a third son, Wyatt Fuller (now Wyatt Spencer), via Quinn Fuller.
Quinn, like Kelly, had kept Wyatt’s paternity from her son for precisely the same reason. We mention Wyatt as Bill’s third son rather than his second because this discovery happened the year after Will Spencer, Bill’s son with Katie Logan, was born.
Will is the only child Bill has that he has known since birth. He is also the only son who has inherited some of his father’s personality, i.e. his love of money.
Returning to Luna, if the storyline involving her, Bill and her mother, Poppy Nozawa, is going where we believe it will, she will have three brothers and two nieces. One of her nieces happens to be her cousin, Finn Finnegan’s stepdaughter, Kelly Spencer. She will have a whole family she didn’t get to have growing up.
Since Wyatt and Will are not in the picture right now, Liam will likely be the only one to deal with the fallout of having yet another sibling he didn’t know about. Could he return to his villainous ways and think Luna and Poppy are conning Bill for his money? Who knows. But his father is no saint either.
Bill knows he’s not perfect, though he and Poppy seem to be an ideal match in many ways. They don’t have good relationships with their families, and they’ve slept around a lot. Luna has always said that her mother was always a free-spirit. It makes sense why she wouldn’t remember who Bill was, as she probably didn’t ask his name before they hooked up.
How will this storyline play out? We’ll just have to wait and see. Will Bill Spencer finally get the daughter he’s always sort of wanted in Luna?
