When you look at Prince Harry now, he is an unhappy husband. Archie and Lilibet’s father. He’s no longer King Charles’ son. Prince William’s brother. Princess Catherine’s brother-in-law. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’ loveable uncle. He’s an accessory. A third wheel, if you will.
Once upon a time, Prince Harry was a beloved member of the British Royal Family. At one time, he was more popular than his beloved late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. However, when he married, that popularity slipped and disappeared due to his wife, who shall remain nameless. He would team up with his brother and sister-in-law on various projects, and it appeared all was dandy until it was upended.
After the 2018 wedding, or even before, depending on who you ask, cracks started to show. Harry, the third wheel to William and Catherine, was no longer viable. It was the fab four for a short time, but it lasted one engagement before the May wedding and Prince Louis’ birth.
Everything has become a right old mess, even after Her Majesty’s death. Numerous theories and untrue rumours are running amok regarding Harry, his wife and the Waleses. One such story is that the Duke of Sussex had a crush on his sister-in-law. Now, we want to address this as one we don’t believe in.
Why don’t we believe it? A similar story came out about Prince Joachim of Denmark, allegedly having a crush on his sister-in-law, Crown Princess Mary, which caused a rift between him and his older brother, Prince Frederik, according to the Australian tabloid magazine Woman’s Day. Do we believe the one about the Danes? No. Though, we do believe the whole thing about Queen Margrethe’s youngest son is Denmark’s Harry.
The claim originated from a Spanish tabloid claiming that Joachim tried to kiss Mary and had been “deeply in love with her.” What makes it even more telling is that Marie’s name is similar to Mary’s and looks almost like her. We’ve written before that Queen Margrethe II’s youngest son is Denmark’s version of Harry. But, going back to Harry and his wife, all she and Catherine have in common is their hair colour, as they’re both brunettes.
There is no way of knowing if the ‘crush’ on Catherine is real, but as we said, we doubt it. Though, from has been said allegedly that the Duchess of Sussex wanted William and not Harry. Again, we don’t know how much truth there is behind that rumour, but any is possible.
