League Of Super Pets: Krypto The Super Dog And Ace The Bat-Hound Introduce The New Animated Film

Krypto

Black Adam isn’t the only DC film to feature Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at DC FanDome. An animated movie focusing on the Super Pets of some of DC Comics’ beloved characters will be hitting the big screen in 2022. Please make welcome League of Super Pets starring The Rock and Kevin Hart!

The film features Krypto the Super Dog and Ace the Bat-Hound as they form a superhero team with Streaky, the Supercat and Jumpa the Kangaroo. Here’s a look at the teaser trailer released at DC FanDome:

Moreover, this trailer is fun, though there’s not much to discuss. However, it highlights Krypto’s personality as being self-centred. As for Ace, he’s the brains of the pair. The full trailer is in November.

Kevin Hart and The Rock were perfect castings. Though, we didn’t expect Hart to be Ace or Dwayne to be Krypto. We thought they’d be the opposite roles. Honestly, it doesn’t matter because this one will have something for everyone! It shouldn’t matter if it is catered towards kids and families.

What’s more is Hart and Johnson have voices fans will recognise and they bounce off each other flawlessly. After all, they did do two Jumanji films together.

Behind The Scenes

Finally, League of Super Pets is produced by Dwayne Johnson and Dany and Hiram Garcia, with the animation being done by Animal Logic in Australia. This is also not the first production to feature members of the Super Pets. Krypto currently appears in the HBO Max series, Titans while Streaky has appeared in Supergirl. In other animated properties, Ace is renamed Titus and is often associated with Damian Wayne, the son of Batman.

In conclusion, DC Superhero Girls depicts Ace as a retired Police Dog owned by Jim Gordon and his daughter, Barbara.

League of Super Pets flies into cinemas in May 2022.
