King Willem-Alexander And Queen Máxima Issue Statement, Backing Israel

Willem-Alexander, Máxima, Israel

The Dutch monarch, King Willem-Alexander and his wife, Queen Máxima have issued a statement sending their thoughts and prayers to President Herzog for Israel. The Dutch King and Queen are the second royals to have spoken out about the Israel-Hamas conflict with Jordanian King Abdullah trying to be diplomatic, despite the statement he released saying Jordan was allied with Palastine.

It is a complex issue where no one will emerge as the winner. Thousands are already dead on both sides and it doesn’t look like its going to get any better any time soon.

Moreover, it is only a waiting process to see if any other royals from other other royal houses speak up about the situation. However, we have to remember that many issues are political in nature. Furthermore, this means that King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima would have had to tread very carefully with how they chose to phrase their statement.

Just because two countries have difference alligences, doesn’t mean they cannot be allies. The last thing anyone wants is for the conflict to end up in the Netherlands or Jordan. Also, King Abdullah doesn’t acknowledge Hamas in any shape or form. It is hard to determine where his feelings lie on the subject.

Willem-Alexander And Máxima Need To Be Apolitical

Willem-Alexander and Máxima have to be apolitical on situations like this. This was a big factor when they got married. The Queen’s father unable to attend due to his role in the Argentinian government. Finally, they also understand how difficult it is to watch people suffer and not be able to do anything about.
