Idiot Parents, Lori Loughlin And Felicity Huffman Cheat Their Privileged Children’s Ways Into American Colleges – OPINION

I understand what it’s like to have your mother and father want to give you a good chance at life. However, Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman schemed to get their daughters to the top. I’ve always worked hard to get where I wanted to go. Yes, alternative ways exist, but that doesn’t mean cheating, especially when getting into college. However, this could shape into one of the biggest scandals in 2019.

Last week, fifty wealthy Americans were arrested after a bribery scandal, including Rick Singer, the fixer behind Operation Varsity Blues. Even the famous got involved as they charged actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman for their involvement in the syndicate. Huffman’s husband, William H Macy, was not arrested. Okay, I understand they want their kids to have a college education, but buying their way into the best schools in the country isn’t the way to go. So, whatever happened to them working their way to the top? For all we know, there were rowing photos taken as evidence.

Did Lori Loughlin’s Daughters Know About What Their Parents Were Doing?

There are conflicting reports on whether social media influencer Olivia Jade and her sister Isabella, whose mother is Loughlin, will drop out of USC. CNBC reports the girls are still enrolled at the university, while Teen Vogue says they won’t return to the school. Which these sources are accurate is anyone’s guess.

The claims against Lori and Mossimo are that they paid US$500,000 to have their daughters be recruits to the USC crew team despite not participating in the sport. They also doctored photos by photoshopping their kids’ faces over stock photos of athletes. Also, Refinery29 alleges the girls posed with rowing equipment for fake images. For all non-Americans, the crew team is rowing.

Did The Kids Have Knowledge Of The Crime?

Huffman and Loughlin weren’t the only ones involved in this scandal. Loughlin’s husband and father of her daughters, Mossimo Giannulli, was also taken in for the crime. Huffman’s husband, William H. Macy, was not apprehended, as it’s undetermined if he knew about the scam. Others got arrested, but Loughlin and Huffman are the most recognisable names.

It depends on the situation; some parents caught up in the act might have gone behind their children’s backs, not wanting them to be accessories if they got caught.

Whether the Giannulli sisters knew what their parents planned to do remains unclear. We’ll find out over time through accurate news sources, but we need to wait to clarify those rumours.

Aftermath

While not much information on what’s happening with Huffman, Loughlin, and Giannulli is suffering, Loughlin has been deemed a queen of the holiday movie scene on Hallmark. As a result, she’s been cut from their company as one of their leading stars.

To worsen the situation for the family, Olivia has lost her partnership with makeup brand Sephora. According to Entertainment Tonight, Olivia and her sister are ‘embarrassed’ by what has happened with their parents and refuse to go outside.

Also, Olivia is being trolled online by so-called ‘keyboard warriors’. Despite what her parents did, it’s not her or her sister’s fault. They need to see how we underprivileged people live. We work hard for our money, and they should consider those who didn’t receive the most extraordinary upbringing.

The whole situation gives new life to the phrase “spoiled little rich kid” and makes the privileged college kids of today realise the world doesn’t revolve around them. Our perspective on the drama changed when Lori pleaded not guilty again. At least Felicity was willing to change.

Olivia isn’t a great role model; rich people are the epitome of privilege.
