How Did Prince Harry Get Into Sandhurst?

Prince Harry and Sandhurst

Being the Queen of England’s favourite grandson has its perks. Or, it did when Prince Harry was younger. He has become so woke that it’s hard to imagine him any other way. That brings us to this post. How did the Duke of Sussex end up going to the Sandhurst Military Academy? That’s what we’re about to find out.

A follower of ours emailed this comment to us regarding Harry’s grades:

That’s what inspired this post. We thought we’d dig into this a bit deeper as it is of public interest. A massive thank you to the follower in question for sending us this. You know who you are. We weren’t sure whether you wanted to be named.

Going over to the post, we’re exploring a few aspects. The first will be what it takes to get into Sandhurst. The second will be the comments made by Harry.

Grades

To get into Sandhurst as an Officer, you need to have stellar grades. According to the British Army Jobs page, you need the following to be considered for training:

We’re not British, so we don’t know what any of the above means. But we did find something rather interesting. An article by the Guardian from 2005 alleges Prince Harry was a poor student while he was at Eton.

The article states that a teacher had to provide text for images the prince had supplied on an art project. Also, the head of the Eton art department did the work, which ended up getting published in international newspapers.

Sarah Forsyth, who was Harry’s art teacher, claimed that the prince’s exam result was ‘flawed.’ Not wrong there. She also said that she was scared to go against what she was told by Ian Burke, who was the head of the art department. Moreover, she noted that the second youngest of Her Majesty’s grandsons (youngest at the time as James had not been born) was well-known for failing. According to what she said, the marker of the entrance exam Harry did to get into Sandhurst was ‘desperate’ to give marks, despite the answers being wrong.

In the Army Itself

There have been plenty of stories over the years about how Harry was apparently treated like everyone else while he was in the army. However, that doesn’t appear to be the case. We’ve all heard about how he used racial slurs. These were caught on camera.

However, what about the people who have actually served with Harry on the front lines? Well, Markle News on Instagram has found tweets from someone with knowledge of what went on during his time in let’s say, it’s not pretty.

In 2013, Business Insider revealed that Harry had compared going to war to being similar to a video game. He even said the following:

It’s a joy for me because I’m one of those people who loves playing PlayStation and Xbox, so with my thumbs I like to think I’m probably quite useful.

The Taliban even took it one step further in the article and said that the prince had developed a mental problem.

In conclusion, Harry was rolled in cotton wool and protected. He didn’t understand how much a conflict like going to a warzone can damage a person. Many servicemen and women who go to war end up with PTSD. The Duke of Sussex doesn’t think about this. He claims he does. But, if he did, he would not have stopped his duties as a royal. Finally, he would still have his honorary military titles and not have had them stripped.
