Home And Away: The Paratas Say Their Final Farewell To Ari

Farewell

The Paratas say their final farewell to their patriarch – Ari’s grieving family say goodbye to their husband, uncle, and stepfather do their best to battle through the loss. After a traditional Maori funeral, Tane, and Nikau journey with the body back to New Zealand, where he is buried.

Mia’s grief eats away at her, and she ends up snapping at Ryder and Theo when Chloe shows her the tribute video they made. Justin and Alf tell the boys that they did a good thing and that hopefully, Mia will come around.

Chloe, meanwhile, struggles with her grieving mother and asks for Bella to keep her mind occupied while Mia is alone with her thoughts. She adored Ari, and he was the father figure in her life until he went to prison. Then, for a decade, she lived a very different life with her mother.

Meanwhile, reality begins to become too much for Mac, given her history with Ari. She might not have been at the farewell, but her pain is still evident. After all, she was pregnant with his child before she suffered an ectopic pregnancy. Logan, being the concerned boyfriend that he is, asks Ryder to keep an eye on her. However, this ultimately spectacularly backfires on him.

What’s more, is Felicity, who has seen the video, shows Mac. The businesswoman isn’t happy when Ryder (in the video) mentions that Ari’s heart was only ever with Mia.

Ryder And Theo Farewell Ari

Out of the goodness of their hearts, former enemies Ryder and Theo want to do something nice for the Paratas. They come up with the idea to do a tribute video (as we mentioned earlier) to honour their friend. They recruit Roo, Alf, Justin, John, and Irene to help them out as they too had all known Ari.

After they’re done, they’re cautioned to take it easy as the farewell has only just happened. They show the video to Chloe, and she loves it as it cheers her up, knowing Ari’s friends were behind him.

Even the video’s participants, Irene, Justin, and Alf, were pleased with the results. However, when Mia sees it, she’s not happy and in her drowning grief, storms into the diner and screams at the boys for their good deed.
