It’s a new year, and ‘Dollar’ Bill Spencer is starting the year in a dark place. After being rejected by both Brooke and Katie Logan, he’s beginning to feel the inky ethos that used to drive his hunger for power. The man needs a better storyline than being shacked up with Sheila Carter and then blackmailing Steffy Forrester Finnegan with her mother, Taylor Hayes’ shooting of him from years ago. This could be an ideal time to revisit the “Who is Kelly’s true daddy?” storyline. Anyway, it’s not going to go down that road. However, we do know what will happen, and the devil dance he dancing might not seem relevant. Soap Hub is reporting that this coming week is going to be explosive.
We’ve known for a while that Bill has been desperate to get Katie to sing his praises again. He’s even put on his sword pendant again. His sons, Liam and Wyatt Spencer know how much history there is behind the sword as they’ve both got one and experienced the power themselves. Thank Quinn for giving him the necklace. As the devil dance continues, we’re beginning to see that he’s formulating a plan that could win one of his former lady loves back while punishing another.
Unlucky Ladies Caught In Bill’s Web
Katie will be the unlucky lady as she praises Bill for doing “the right thing” regarding the mistress of the dark herself, Sheila. Unfortunately, this may push her closer to her ex-husband again while ruining her growing relationship with Carter Walton.
Steffy, however, will be the one who gets the rough end of the stick. Bill doesn’t want Sheila going to prison, so he is hanging Taylor shooting him all those years ago over her head. If the psycho goes down, so does Taylor.
Finn, Sheila’s son and Steffy’s husband, had no idea about the shooting and was shocked that his mother-in-law would shoot someone. Who can blame the man for being surprised? We can’t.
Blaming Steffy, Katie, And Brooke For Bill’s Descent To Darkness
The annoying thing about Bill is that he blames Steffy, Katie and Brooke for his fall from grace. Does he not realise that his actions are what make people hate him? He and Ridge are cut from the same cloth. They both want a woman but don’t allow her to see other men; they cozy up to other women. The Shauna situation comes to mind with Ridge.
Though they hate each other. So, okay, we’re still trying to get that one to make sense. But we digress. Anyway, what was surprising about the story twist was Steffy being forced to indirectly bring up her night with Bill all those years ago. This event lost her Liam. It is what prompted her to get that paternity test when she found out she was pregnant with Kelly.
We’ve said before that Hope has never had to question Beth’s paternity. However, Steffy has had to do two paternity tests. One for Kelly and the other for Hayes, and ironically both times, Liam was the potential daddy.
Dollar Bill thinks Steffy, Brooke and Katie are the only women in Los Angeles when he could have any lady. After all, he had Liam with Kelly Hopkins and Wyatt with Quinn. So, why is he turning to Sheila?
Siding With Sheila
Bill feels the only thing he can do with his life is give in to the darkness within his heart. We know he doesn’t like being alone and needs a woman to boss around. Ridge is the same in a ton of ways. Any writer would be able to see that, though the writers of B&B wouldn’t notice this.
Anyway, siding with Sheila, was petty on Bill’s part. Why? Because after all the good he did in helping Finn’s adoptive mother, Li, after she almost died at Sheila’s hand, has gone out other window. He helped a complete stranger and then he turns around and joins Team Devil Dance.
How can any woman want to be with him when all he does is put his own happiness ahead of theirs? This is why Katie wants nothing to do with Bill outside of him being Will’s dad. He can never put her first and will always find a way to worm his way back to Brooke, and she’s tired of it.
Bill claims Sheila is the only woman who understands him. As creepy as that sounds, she’s a psychopath who will kill people to get what she wants with her targets being Finn and Hayes. Can she not take a hint that her son wants nothing to do with her after the hell she has put his in-laws and his adoptive through?
Blackmail
Dollar Bill has some real nerve to blackmail Steffy into complying with letting Sheila go. He’s using an incident from five years ago to get his former lover to do what he wants.
For those who are new, the incident in question, happened around the time Kelly was conceived. This was whe Steffy and Liam were married and Hope had just come back from Milan after healing from her miscarriage during her short-lived married to Wyatt.
Liam kissed her and he told Steffy the truth as he should have. She went running to Bill and they had a one-night stand. After this, she discovered she was pregnant but didn’t know who the father was. She had a paternity test done, behind Liam’s back but he found the paper work, confronted her and she was forced to admit she slept with with his father. He walked on on her and never looked back.
In all honesty, Steffy has never gotten over that Liam chose Hope over her. Anyway, when news got back to Taylor (then played by Hunter Tylo), she thought Bill raped her daughter she he arrived back in Los Angeles and shot him. Very few people knew who shot the media magnate.
Could The Taylor Secret Ruin Steffy And Finn’s Marriage?
To end this article, we need to question whether Steffy keeping what happened with Bill will ruin her marriage to Finn. We don’t believe it will, though Finn may end up being wary as to whether she’s telling him the full truth. Anyone who has watched the show will know she is incapable of telling the truth 90% of the time.
In the first episode back for 2023, she tells Finn an altered version of what happened with Bill. She leaves Hope’s name out of it, but she never brings up that she had a paternity test done when she was pregnant with Kelly. Also, she indirectly throws Liam under the bus by implying that because he kissed someone else, she got back at him by sleeping with Dollar Bill.
Then, she claims it was one of the lowest points in her life and that Bill took advantage of her. This could not be further from the truth. She kissed Bill the day before he was due to marry Katie one of those couple of times. In conclusion, she is as guilty as he is. However, she has a reason to hate Sheila and who could blame her? The woman is unstable.
