And We Knew This Would Happen
There’s a custody battle brewing, and we knew this was coming. We’ve known for about a week that Thomas Forrester will go for custody of his son, Douglas Forrester. So Steffy Forrester Finnegan telling her brother to “stand up to Hope”, as seen in the promo, is already grating on our nerves. But, of course, we predicted this a while ago.
Since the Baby Beth scandal and Thomas’ previous obsession with Hope Logan Spencer, Douglas has had a stable upbringing. So, why does Tommy boy want custody of his son now? Yes, Douglas misses his dad, but Thomas needs to make time for him. Indeed, he can find time in his busy fashion designer schedule for his child. Oddly, we’re surprised Douglas didn’t break his dad and Zoe up.
This Isn’t About Steffy
Steffy needs to keep her mouth shut. It is a situation that is meant to be between Thomas and Hope. Yes, Douglas is a Forrester, but when was the last time she mentioned her nephew? I cannot recall a single time she has asked about his welfare. Look, I get it that she has been dealing with “Finn’s death” and having her children reunite with him and, of course, the bear attack that supposedly ended Sheila. But, she’s no better than her mother.
She demands that her father returns to her mother and divorce Brooke Logan Forrester. She’s in her thirties! She doesn’t need her parents together. What annoys me here is that she forgets that Liam had to remove Kelly from her care while she was hooked on opioids. Yet, she claims Hope isn’t capable of being a mother to Douglas. Double standards, much?
Also, would it kill Thomas to allow Douglas to make his own decision? He loves Hope and Liam and being a big brother to Beth. You can’t force the kid to do something he doesn’t want. If Steffy, Taylor, and Ridge get in Thomas’ ear like Steffy is doing now, Hope has no hope.
Thomas is going to get Douglas back. Also, Steffy is back screaming that the Logans are evil. She has no compassion for anyone not in her inner circle, which is very small. Also, does she not remember how she wanted to keep Beth when it was discovered that she had been stolen at birth? Now, she acts like she’s never put a foot wrong.
