Princess Charlotte Joins Her Parents At The Commonwealth Games

Commonwealth, Princess Charlotte

The Commonwealth Games are currently in Birmingham, England, and the Cambridges were out in force. Princess Charlotte made her first public appearance with her parents, Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. This is the first time she has appeared without her brothers, Princes George and Louis.

Princess Charlotte had the absolute time of her life at the events she attended with her parents. According to her mother, Catherine, as per footage in the Royal News Network’s latest video, she loved gymnastics. She also watched the swimming and seemed to love the breaststroke event.

Sport is a massive part of the Cambridges’ lives. William and Catherine love sports and are often seen getting competitive whenever they attend sporting engagements. However, it seems this interest has passed to at least two of their three children. Prince George has been seen with his parents at the soccer. Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte is said to love soccer and gymnastics.

The Commonwealth Games were also where the Cambridges caught up with Prince Edward, his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex and their children James, Viscount Severn and Lady Louise. It is so great seeing both families out and mingling.

Cheeky Princess Charlotte

Princess Charlotte was also seen pulling faces like her younger brother, Prince Louis, did at their great-grandmother, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. It is hard to believe that the kids are growing up so quickly. In a few years, they’ll be having children of their own. We still remember when each of Catherine’s pregnancies was announced.

The little princess’ outing shows that she is growing up to be a royal while being allowed to grow up like an average child. Her father and older brother might be the heirs to the throne, but she (and Louis) are just as crucial to the monarchy’s future. Princess Charlotte and her appearance at the Commonwealth Games could lead to something more prominent in the future.
