Book Clubs pt. 2 – Local

books

Local Book Clubs are what bring book lovers together in a single place. While the Macarthur region is a massive place, there are several local book clubs out there for those who love their books. So, we wanted to highlight some of these.

There are likely to be a ton of clubs in the region, but these are just the local book clubs we could find via Google. Also, a few of these local book clubs require you to have a library card.

List Of Local Book Clubs In Macarthur

Harry Hartog Narellan

Few Narellan locals might know that local bookstore Harry Hartog has a monthly book club that meets on the final Tuesday of every month at 6pm. For more, check out their Facebook group.

Third Thursday Book Club – Willondilly Library

The Picton branch of the Willondilly Library hosts a book club on the third Thursday of every month, hence the name. They meet at the View Room at 5:30pm, and the meeting ends at 6:30pm.

Book Discussion Groups – Camden Library

There are two book discussion groups at Camden Library. One is during the day, while the second one is at night. As of the writing of this post, the day time group is full, but there is still places at the evening one.

Bookalicious – Children’s Book Club – HJ Daley Library (Campbelltown)

Bookalicious is a children’s book club that is hosted at Campbelltown Library. It’s not your average book club, as the age range is 5 to 12 and the goal of 10 books earns the child a reward. Participants are issued with special library cards.

Ingleburn Library (Greg Percival)

A book club meets at the Greg Percival Library in Ingleburn on the third Friday of every month at 10:30 a.m.

HJ Daley Library

There is also a book club at the HJ Daley Library (Campbelltown) on the last Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm.

Cobbitty Women’s Book Club

The Cobbitty Anglican Church runs a book club every 6 to 8 weeks in the home of one of its members.
