We finally have a premiere date for DWTS All-Stars Australia of April 11!
April 11 is the date Dancing with the Stars Australia fans need to mark on the calendars and diaries, according to TV Week. Be sure to pull out your sequinned outfits and those dance heels. The two-week event which will have five former celebrity champions pitted against four wildcard contestants and stack of non-winners.
We’ve spoken before about the former judges and hosts returning. However, TV Week has revealed how the event is going to work. For all the celebrities, go here!
The fourteen celebrities will be split into two groups. Each will dance across alternate nights before they get to the grand finale before six will have to fight it out for the trophy. Now, we need to stress that this season is the first time this has been done on Australian television. Depending on how well it does, we might have a complete show come back and perhaps even a Dancing with the Stars Junior competition and another All-Stars season.
Since the votes won’t be via phone, text, or online the judges’ scores and the audience will be responsible.
Every show comes with a risk and doing an All-Stars Season is the best way to see if something new works. It is also a second chance for Kyly Clarke.
The show will also follow the All-Stars edition in the United States and will not be filmed live. All other seasons of Dancing With The Stars Australia have been filmed live since the beginning in 2004. We cannot wait to see how the turns out. We also have to note that this season has the most celebrities out of any other. This is going to be so much fun to watch.
Dancing with the Stars Australia All-Stars begins on Sunday April 11 at 7pm on Channel Seven and 7Plus.
