Ironheart Scores Another Cast Member In “Into The Heights”‘ Anthony Ramos

Ironheart has finally added a new cast member to its ranks. Anthony Ramos, best known for his musical roles in Into the Heights and Hamilton, will join the Dominique Thorne-led series about Riri Williams, a teenage tech genius inspired by Tony Stark.

According to Jacob Campbell of Full Circle Cinema, Anthony will be playing a character that will play a pivotal role in the MCU in the future. In other words, the role Anthony will play is believed to be similar to Kang the Conquerer. There is no information on who this character will be as the series has not yet entered pre-production.

Riri Williams has only been in Marvel Comics a few years, though she becomes Tony’s legacy. Before her pending arrival into the MCU, Robert Downey Junior himself backed the character someday appearing. Her live-action debut will be in the upcoming Black Panther: Wakadana Forever, where she’ll be a student at MIT. What’s more, is we don’t know much about Riri’s involvement in the film. Though, we suspect that she may interact with Shuri, T’Challa’s younger sister, and possibly members of the Dora Milaje. This speculation is based on behind-the-scenes footage.

As for Anthony’s character, the Full Circle Cinema post doesn’t provide any clues. There is also no release date set for the series, so we’ll be waiting until possibly 2023. Moreover, the Marvel universe is full of characters that possibly appear. If we had to guess, we’d say a brainy character who can match Riri’s intellect.

Anthony Ramos’ Response To His Casting Announcement And Character Options

Anthony himself has responded to the announcement, according to Sam Hargrave of the Direct. Also, Hargraves’ article suggests possible character ideas. One example they gave is Obadiah Stane’s (Jeff Bridges’ character in Iron Man) son, Ezekiel. Could the younger Stane want revenge for his dad’s death? Another possibility is the villain known as The Hood.

Depending on what happens with whatever character Anthony ends up portraying, he could end up in Armor Wars, which will focus on Rhodey fighting to keep Tony’s tech out of enemy hands.
