Prince Harry talks a lot about honouring his mother, the late Princess Diana, and how she has ditched Prince William and is now at his side. We know he is obsessed with her and uses her memory in everything he does, including applying Elizabeth Ardern cream to his todger. Yeah, I wish I could make that up. But sadly, I cannot. He mentions this in his book, Spare. Anyway, the late Princess of Wales would be devastated if she were alive today if she could see her youngest son’s behaviour.
I don’t pretend to know what the late Princess of Wales would genuinely think about Harry and his behaviour. The little I do understand is that if Diana were here now, NONE of the drama from the last five years would be happening. There wouldn’t even be a marriage to a particular Z-list actress if she were still here.
William and Harry were Diana’s whole world. She would never have left them as she loved them too much. But, if she were alive today, she would have been of two minds. First, she would’ve been proud of Harry for choosing his path. She would have supported it if he wanted not to be a working royal anymore. However, she wouldn’t have approved of his treatment of his family.
Diana The Monarchist
Diana was a monarchist. Despite everything Charles put her through, her issues were with him, not anyone else in the family. Sure, she had a feud with Sarah Ferguson before she died, as mentioned by Page Six.
She would’ve told Harry that despite her relationship with his father, the situation was between her and Charles and had nothing to do with him or William. Also, Diana would not have approved of her youngest son using her memory as a scapegoat to avoid the consequences of his actions. Instead, she would’ve told him to face the music and would’ve made him work for everything in his life rather than him being handed opportunities due to being The Queen’s grandson.
It’s A Firm “No” From Diana
As for Meghan, Diana would not have approved of her. She would have agreed with Catherine but not the actress. Why? Because they understood people and knew that associations could be used to advance one’s station in life. The Princess of Wales would have seen through the actress’ act immediately and wouldn’t have let her within 100km of either of her sons.
If Diana looks down at Harry now, his behaviour will make her cry. She would be questioning what went wrong and how it could be fixed. Diana would not blame anyone and sought ways to improve the situation. She would likely blame Meghan for causing so much division and would be disgusted by her daughter-in-law’s obsession with her.
Would Meghan try to cozy up to Diana? It’s hard to say, but I see it going two ways. First, Meghan would hate her as she is beloved, and Diana would devote her time to Catherine more than the actress. Finally, the second way would be to butter her mother-in-law up, get her on her side, and press anyone who disagreed. This includes becoming the favourite daughter-in-law. Diana would see through all this in an instant.
