We’ve had a few conventions and expos over the last few months, and we’ve gotten little snippets of information about Star Wars. Today, however, we got the first look at Ahsoka, the much anticipated limited series focusing on Anakin Skywalker’s former Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, set during the same period as The Mandalorian, as per The Direct.
The first look was courtesy of a promo dropped for Disney+ in the lead-up to the new year, where they have a ton of content dropping. Amongst the titles were The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch and, of course, Ahsoka. The footage, which was no more than three seconds long, showed Ahsoka pulling back her hood and putting her hands behind her head.
The series will likely continue certain storylines from the animated series Star Wars Rebels. What is going on here? We have no clue, but it will be exciting to see what happens. Currently, there is no release date for the series as of yet. However, given that the Disney+ promo has media set drop in the first half of 2023, this may be when the series is set to premiere.
When Will Ahsoka Drop?
Fellow Star Wars shows, The Bad Batch and The Mandalorian will drop in early January and early March, respectively. Ahsoka will likely be the third show to air. Moreover, it could debut in maybe June or July at the earliest. The Mandalorian Season 3 may set up the series as it did for The Book of Boba Fett.
It’s been speculated that given her Mandalorian roots, Sabine Wren will make her live-action in Mando before appearing in Ahsoka. This is just hearsay for now, but it will be interesting to see if there is any truth to it. When we have any more information, we’ll keep the site updated.
