The Rivera family have been holding vigil since Glee actress Naya Rivera was reported mid last week after a boating trip with her four-year-old son.
Naya Rivera’s family has been keeping vigil at Lake Piru in California every day since she disappeared. Her mother and brother have been to the location where their daughter and sister disappeared mid last week. This comes after she went out on a boat with her four-year-old son but never came back.
Yolanda Rivera knelt on the dock with her arms outstretched while her son, Mychal stood next to her before consoling her. No parent should have to deal with the loss of their child. We just want to give them both a big hug and do our best to console them.
We cannot imagine what they must be feeling right now. The whole world is holding vigil with them that Naya’s body is found.
Sonar is being used in the search given the limited visiblity and quality of the water of the lake. Naya has been missing almost four days now and we cannot begin to comprehend what her family must be going through. Our hearts out to the entire Rivera family and to Naya’s ex-husband Ryan, and their son Josey who now has to be told his mummy is not coming home.
We shall we keep you all up-to-date with the search and will give an update when we have another one. For now, please keep the Rivera family in your thoughts and pray we hear something soon. We also want to encourage people to start a discussion online and begin a vigil just as many of Naya’s co-stars have.
