It’s official, Trekkies! We’re going to get a triple dose of Star Trek at this year’s San Diego Comic Con with three shows sitting Hall H!
Hall H is opening its doors to a Trek-a-thon on July 20 as Star Trek: Discovery heads back to Comic Con International before its third season. The series will be joined by two new series, the animated Lower Decks and Picard. The Jean-Luc centric series will feature Patrick Stewart in his famous Trek role for the first time since Star Trek: Nemesis.
According to the @startrekcbs post, all three days will be filled with fun with a Discovery transporter experience. There will also be a talent meet and greet on July 20.
The third event will be Jean-Luc Picard: The First Duty Exhibit at the Michael J Wolf Fine Arts, on 363 Fifth Ave which opens at 11am daily over the course of the convention.
The panel will feature Sir Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard), Executive Producers Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, and showrunner Michael Chabon. Other cast and crew to appear are Michelle Paradise (writer and executive producer and new showrunner of Discovery) Sonequa Martin-Green (Michael Burnham), Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera, Akiva Goldsman, Mike McMahan, and Evan Evagora.
It’s going to be great fun for fans and we can’t wait to learn new information about each show. We might even get a sneak peek at the Picard pilot episode. Perhaps there’ll be another trailer and character reveals. There may even be a glimpse at the animation for Lower Decks. Or maybe there will be new information for the currently untitled Discovery spin-off based around Section 31.
