Finding the perfect skincare product.

Having trouble finding the right skincare product for you? We hear you as we know the struggle. We’ve been there ourselves and it’s not a fun experience.

That is what this post is for! We’ve put together five tips that will (hopefully) help everyone find that key skincare product that assists them.

Tip #1: Know Your Skin Type

The first tip we’re going to give is the most important. You need to know your skin type. We personally have oily skin and a touch of dry too, meaning we have combination skin. If you’re not sure, you might want to consult a skin specialist. If you cannot be bothered, we would suggest using combination skin products or ones that say they’re for all skin types.

Tip #2: Check The Label For What Skin Types The Product Caters For

When you’re in the skincare product section of your local chemist or supermarket, it’s super important you check the label. Now, you’re probably asking why. Well, the reason for it is because you don’t want to buy the wrong product. If you have combination skin, buy a skincare product made for that skin type and so on. This helps with summer skincare.

Tip #3: Don’t Buy Full Priced Products

Skincare products can often be expensive, depending on the brand. However, you might need to crunch the numbers before you go out and buy. When you go to the supermarket and go down the beauty aisle, check to see if there’s a discount on your ideal skincare product. If there is, buy it there and then. If you wait and then go back a week later, it might not be on sale again.

Tip #4: It’s Best To Buy Large Products But Only When They’re Discounted

Even the smallest product can be expensive, so we recommend that you buy large products because they last longer. However, you need to be careful because the bigger the product, the more expensive it is. For example, a large bottle of Garnier Micellar Water is about $20 at the supermarket. Buy it on sale. You save money and that way, and you also get more use from your product.

Tip #5: Use Cheap Brands

Supermarket brands are just as good as expensive ones.

One example of supermarket brand skincare products you can try is the one from Aldi. Their range might not be huge, but they’ve combined their skincare product brand with their makeup one. If you have any more tips, send them to us via our tip jar. Though, don’t use cheap micellar water. If you wash your face with it, it will feel weird.
