Everyone who understands how Meghan Markle’s mind works will know she would put her five cents into the Roe v Wade situation. Well, she has a week after the ruling came in that women across America would lose the right to do as they wanted with their bodies. So understandably, people are annoyed that a woman who jumps on every feminist bandwagon would jump on such an important topic.
Now, the abortion laws here in Australia are different to America. You have to get the approval of two doctors before a termination can happen. You can’t just show up to a women’s clinic and ask them to do it. So while I have no right to speak on American law as I don’t live there, I disagree with the US Supreme Court’s decision to ban abortion. I’m sorry if some of my readers are pro-life, but being pro-choice is something I’ve always been.
I believe in abortion rights but do not believe that people should abort pregnancies because of tiny things like wanting a different gendered child from the others one already has. If you want to pick the gender of your child, go through the IVF process, where you can select the child’s gender.
Meghan Markle DOES NOT Represent The Women Of America
Going back to Meghan sticking her nose in the Roe v Wade situation, she had no right to speak to Vogue about something she had no interest in before. This is the same woman who didn’t speak up about the shooting massacre of African-Americans at a supermarket in Buffalo. She is no feminist. Her followers can argue that she’s the best thing to happen to the world since sliced bread, but let’s get real. She only cares about getting her name associated with one of the most significant legal rulings in recent US history.
Look at what happened when Meghan became involved with the Black Lives Matter movement. She did one video, and that was it. I haven’t seen the video, but I know she acts like an angel descended upon the Earth. Was she out in the crowds protesting after George Floyd was murdered? No. If she were, it would be all over the news.
There are so many other examples I could use, but everything this woman does, screams bandwagon jumping. I can guarantee anyone reading this right now that this causes means nothing to her. No one cares what she thinks. That reminds me of something I saw yesterday on Twitter.
The Sussex PR Push Isn’t Working
Before the Meghan/Roe v Wade story was published in Vogue, I saw a chart someone had put together where it showed a series of publications, their Twitter followers and how many people liked their latest Sussex articles. Let’s say the numbers weren’t great. I, unfortunately, can’t find the tweet I saw, but that’s what I witnessed.
People are tuning out Harry and Meghan’s nonsense because they are both self-serving. The public pays attention to the Cambridges and the royals because the causes they champion are always about the people and never about themselves.
Harry and Meghan wanted out of royal life, but not really. They didn’t want to do the boring jobs. Essentially they repeated what Harry’s great-great-uncle Edward VIII did when he married Wallis Simpson; he wanted to be royal without the work.
Roe v Wade Is Bigger Than Meghan’s One-Time Support
The Roe v Wade debate is more significant than Meghan. She has never supported a cause like this as she doesn’t honestly care about other people’s human rights. Heck, she doesn’t even care about her own. This fight has been happening for years, so why has she suddenly jumped on it? She does realise that the overturning of Roe v Wade could affect her daughter’s reproductive rights, doesn’t she?
Also, the Vogue article was edited from her actual name of Meghan Markle to her being the Duchess of Sussex. So much for not wanting to be royal. As Brittany of the Royal News Network often says, let’s ask Meghan if she can locate Sussex on a map of England. That would be embarrassing if she couldn’t.
