The Cast Of Peacemaker Talk About The Series

Peacemaker

Peacemaker is going to be violent, gritty and possess a lot of bad-mouthery. DC FanDome was the perfect place for series creator and director The Suicide Squad to talk to the cast about the series coming to HBO Max in January 2022.

The FanDome panel spoke about James Gunn’s vision for the series and gave us a look at John Cena behind the scenes. For a lengthy look at behind-the-scenes, GameCorpCrew on YouTube has you covered with the whole panel.

Moreover, the Peacemaker cast spoke about how John Cena had to dance around in his underwear. Oh, and how a load of scenes were improvised. What’s more, is James and actor Freddie Stroma who will play Adrian Chase/Vigilante, said the character is an odd dude. The version of Vigilante we’re seen from Arrow is serious and doesn’t go under the name, Adrian Chase. For some reason, we’re imagining the Chase in Peacemaker to be more like Deadpool.

Also, it was said that John Cena’s mind melted when he heard Stroma speak in his native British accent. He’d become accustomed to the American accent Freddie uses in the series.

What’s more, is the whole panel was hilarious as there was talk about “butt babies”. Furthermore, there was a scene about cute babies and butt babies. Yeah, we have a feeling Peacemaker is going to be one of those shows that is wild, but fun.

What About The Rest Of The Peacemaker Cast? What Was It Like On Set?

According to John Cena, no one had an ego on set, and they all loved being there and enjoyed each other’s company. Moreover, it was also said that Danielle Brooks’ character is an original creation that is not in the comics.

John also spoke about what it was like being able to reprise his role from The Suicide Squad after the series was pitched to him. Furthermore, the cast also explained that the show was a workplace comedy (a bit like The Office) but with people getting shot in the face a lot.

Finally, Peacemaker has a best friend in the series who happens to be an eagle who likes to hug him. Aww!

Peacemaker arrives on HBO Max in January 2022.
