The Bold And The Beautiful: 6 Obsessions That Drove Fans Crazy!

4. Thomas And His Many Obsessions With Having The Perfect Family With Hope

Believe it or not, Thomas Hamilton Forrester was once the sensible one while his sister, Steffy was the one who schemed. Now, it’s the other way around. Since he arrived back in Los Angeles with son Douglas, he has gone after Hope when she’s made it perfectly clear that she loves his son, NOT him.

After believing that she’d lost her daughter at birth, Hope spent most of last year grieving. The only person who bought her joy was Douglas as he’d just lost his mother, Caroline. She became a surrogate mother to him and Thomas decided to exploit the connection the two had developed. He claimed that he was still upset about her turning down his proposal years earlier and that he’d never gotten over her.

He manipulated Hope into marrying him and it worked for a very brief time. However, she only married him for the sake of Douglas. When the truth about Beth came out, Hope filed for annulment which set Thomas off big time. He didn’t like being told his marriage was over and that his fantasy was history. Though, he didn’t stop. He came up with a new plan and he continued to use his son to do it.

Hooking up with Zoe Buckingham, Thomas wanted to make Hope jealous and to make Douglas think he would lose his adoptive mother. He proposes to his co-secret keeper (Zoe kept quiet about Beth) and she accepted. Though, she thought that his feelings for her were genuine. At the wedding, Hope, with the help of Liam and Steffy destroy Thomas by exposing him in front of the family.

We’ve also seen Thomas’ daydream play out where his ‘wicked stepmother’ Brooke is dead.
