In with the old era, and in with the new…
America is now heading into an era with a new president and vice president. With Donald Trump now out of the White House, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are already making a splash as the new POTUS and VPOTUS. In all honesty, it is a massive relief. For four years, we have seen nightmares galore as the former reality star prepares for his post-presidency impeachment trial.
Let’s see Trump wriggle his way out of this one without his daddy’s bribing people. That’s been out of question for a few years give that Fred Senior died in 1999. Anyway, that’s in the past presidential era.
We’re moving on to something more positive with Biden having to fix his predecessor’s messes which he should do without fail. In just the last few hours, the new President has signed a large number of executive orders to undo some of the things Trump cut.
The Biden Era Will Bring About A Lot Of Firsts
The Biden era will bring about a load of firsts. Kamala Harris is the first African-American and Asian-American person to be elected to the office of Vice President of the United States. She is also the first woman to be elected to the Oval Office in one of the two highest positions of power.
Kamala’s husband, Doug Emhoff is the first ever Second Gentleman of the United States. He is also the first Jewish spouse of a Vice President.
As for Joe, there’s a few firsts for him as well. His wife, Jill will remain in her job as an educator which she also occupied when her husband was US Vice President during the Obama era.
The First Pets Are Back!
For the last four years, there has been no pets in the White House. Well, the Bidens are bringing their doggos, Champ and Major with them. The couple have always had German Shepards.
Also, the First pets also have a first of their own; the first ever First (grand)Cat… named Winston. Now, we love that. Be sure to check out their Instagram and Twitter accounts. It is so nice to have the First couple bring back a long-standing tradition.
Sure, having pets is not for everyone but for the First Pets to have their own social media accounts is so with the times and the Bidens are with the times. This is what we love about them. They embrace the present and they want peace. Not war.
Inspiration Is About Doing… Not Speaking Pretty Words
For a woman who allegedly burst into tears when her husband was elected Melania Trump never put in much into Donald’s era of power. She created the BeBest campaign which she barely even mentioned, let alone utilised. The former First Lady is no better than the ex-President that she calls her spouse.
Melania is not an inspiration in the way her predecessors and successor is. Jill Biden is what we call inspirational. She’s a teacher and a former Second Lady who puts her family and her country first. Alongside Michelle Obama, Doctor Biden has shown the world what it means to be a human being who care.
Just because Melania spoke about COVID-19 doesn’t mean she did anything to stop herself, her husband, and son from getting it.
Understanding The People Of The United States
Joe Biden’s era as President of the United States will be one where the people will heal from the last four years and from the Coronavirus. He also loves those he serves and understands how America operates. He serves everyone, even those who didn’t vote for him.
If there’s one thing, the Biden era will bring back what the Obama administration started. To give America a better future.
