Is Star Wars actor, Oscar Isaac jumping into yet another huge franchise? Could he be joining the MCU as Moon Knight?
Could the Marvel Cinematic Universe have found its Moon Knight? Apparently, it has, according to a report from the Hollywood Reporter. If this news is true, then it will be nice to have a big star like Oscar Isaac rejoining the ranks of yet another huge franchise.
The actor already a number of big blockbusters up his sleeve including the recent Star Wars sequel trilogy, the upcoming remake of Dune, the animated Addams Family movie and its forthcoming sequel, Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse and X-Men: Apocalypse, just to name a few.
Having Oscar join the MCU as Moon Knight would be fascinating to see given he’s already been linked to two other Marvel projects before. He was the villain Apocalypse in X-Men: Apocalypse and he provided the voice of Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099 in Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.
If Isaac were to be cast as Marc Spector, it would be a great way to get new fans interested. The reason for this is because Moon Knight is not as well known as say Iron Man. Also, it would be a great way to add more variety to the assortment of characters that already exist.
Are There Other Casting Possibilities? What’s Our Verdict?
It has been noted that there have been other possibilities thrown around for the Moon Knight role. Names that have come up include Daveed Diggs and Nick Kroll, according to CBR.
Now, before we wrap this post, we need to stress that despite Deadline saying it was a done deal, it might not be. There has been conflicting reports surrounding another MCU casting that is being denied by the actor; She-Hulk. Despite Tatiana Maslany being cast, she has denied even getting the role.
We’re not questioning the credibility of any of the sources we’re using at all. It’s just that mistakes are known to happen. Until we’re going to hold off mentioning anything else about Moon Knight until there’s more information available.
