With Meghan now in the same women’s prison as Agatha, she must decide whether to help the woman who stole her baby or leave her to the fates.

As always, the structure of this post is messy, like the previous four.

1. Meghan Sees Agatha In Prison, And Lorelei Shuts Down The Podcast

Meghan lies on her bed, sobbing as she recalls killing Jack. She also remembers seeing Agatha in the prison van she was transported to Gaol.

Elsewhere, Lorelei receives a phone call regarding Meghan’s arrest. Unfortunately, she cannot reach her for comment and says she’s tried everything to get Meghan t to speak to her. She then declares that the podcast is dead.

In the morning, Meghan awakes from her first night in her cell to the guards waking the other prisoners. The prisoners are rowdy, with constant swearing and violent behaviour. When Meghan walks out of the cell for what the female guard calls “Muster time”, the inmates go wild, referring to her as “freshie.” Agatha walks past her, making proper eye contact for the first time in two years.

2. Simon Talks To Detective Cash

At the police station, an exhausted Simon speak with Detective Cash. She tells him that his car will be released in a few days. Tired, he tells her that he’s told her everything he knows, given he was a witness. Cash drops that they’ve charged Meghan with Jack’s death.

She makes him rehash everything he told her earlier, including when she threw the toy wombat at his car.

3. Reactions To Meghan’s Arrest And Jack’s Death

News of Meghan’s arrest and Jack’s death spreads r rapidly. We see the reactions of Agatha, Karen and Meghan herself. The sports world mourns as Jack was one of their top sports journalists.

At the mention of Agatha in the news story, the prisoners start jeering and taunting, while Meghan stares down one of the prisoners who has been giving Agatha gr ef.

4. Lorelei’s Parents Start Panicking, And The Book

Lorelei’s mother, Belinda, is on the phone with her husband, David, who is out looking for their daughter. Suddenly, the police pull up outside the r house. Belinda answers the door and asks what s wrong. The policewoman asks if Lorelei lives at home. Belinda says she does and that David, her husband, is out looking for Lorelei now.

The policeman asks if Belinda knows Lorelei has gone to visit Agatha.

At Charlotte’s house, Lorelei goes through a box of Agatha’s things and finds a book given to Agatha as a child by the daughters of Brother Bowler. Moreover, Lorelei mentions to Charlotte that the girls, who are now grown women, would be her half-sisters.

Charlotte is reluctant to speak about what happened with Agatha and how Brother Bowler raped Agatha, and how she [Charlotte] didn’t do anything. Lorelei questions how her grandmother would feel if she had to sit in a courtroom and learn her father was a pedophile.

5. Grace Talks To The Police

Grace speaks to the police and mentions how Meghan and Jack were seen arguing. She adds that people argue all the time. The male detective working with Cash says that Meghan made direct threats. Grace denies that her sister would ever hurt her brother-in-law.

Cash butts in and asks about Grace’s recent hospital, where she fell down the stairs. Grace has to repeat that her stitches were the result of an accident. Cash reveals she understands why Grace is protecting Meghan as she has sisters too, but mentions that if she doesn’t cooperate, she will be in trouble. Grace says that she knows in her bones that Meghan would never purposely kill Jack.

At Jen’s house, Grace explodes, telling her mother that the police have already made up their minds regarding Meghan’s guilt. Reg, Grace and Meghan’s stepdad, says the police need a leg to stand on in court. This means they can’t force Grace to say anything false. Instead, she says they tried to make her say that her fall down the stairs was on purpose.

Simon butts in and says that Grace did say that Meghan pushed her. But, again, Grace says it was an accident.

Jen questions what she should do with the kids. Simon says he’ll take Ben with him. Jen interjects and says that the kids need to stay together. Grace decides it would be best if she and Simon took the kids home and stayed with them.

6. Cash Goes Over Rhea’s Interview

In her office, Cash sits with her laptop, reviewing Rhea’s interview, where she mentions how Meghan thought Jack had started their affair back up. She also mentions the money Jack had sent her. Cash says they have the audio recording of her conversation with Jack, where she blackmails him, which backs her into a corner.

A hysterical Rhea says Jack was terrified that Meghan would find out about anything. She rang Jack because his wife was “out of control.”

7. Agatha Sides With Meghan, And Lorelei Learns Where She Was Conceived

In prison, Agatha hears Megh n crying and attempts to reach out to her. However, it annoys the other inmates as the prison is in sleep mode.

At Charlotte’s place, Lorelei lies in bed as Charlotte is preparing to leave for a visit with Agatha. When Charlotte checks on her, an irritated Lorelei asks where Brother Bowler raped Agatha. Hesitant, Charlotte says Kingdom Hall. Bowler told her that he was “giving Agatha lessons.”

8. Meghan Gives Cash Her Version Of Events

Meghan explains to Cash that she wanted Jack to come home and did not blame him for leaving. Cash denounces that until the night of Jack’s death, Meghan was doing everything she could to get him to return home. She then tries to get Meghan to run with the whole “Jack was still having an affair with Rhea and then she got angry” thing.

Trying to recall details, Meghan says Jack wasn’t having an affair with Rhea. She was blackmailing him. Cash asks her to be precise in recounting her conversation with Jack regarding Rhea. Flashing back, she asks him how he’s been sleeping with Rhea. Jack responds he doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

Meghan asks about the $40k that he gave Rhea. Jack explains that he didn’t have anywhere to go when he left, so he requested Rhea to find him a house. Meghan then enquires again about the money. He tells her that Rhea was threatening him with a video of him doing Cocaine when they were having their fling. Meghan then tells him that she has Ben. He explains to her that Simon rang and told him.

For a moment, Meghan and Jack make amends, with Jack saying that he doesn’t want Ben to be torn apart between two dads who love him.

9. The Rear Vision Mirror

Back in the present, Cash asks why Meghan hadn’t told her this sooner. Meghan says she was in shock as she had just killed her husband. Cash then recounts what an eyewitness said about her looking in the rear vision mirror. She questions why Meghan didn’t see Jack behind the car. Meghan says she had headlights in her eyes, which is why she didn’t see Jack.

10. Meghan Is Cornered By An Inmate Who Wants Agatha Dead

Meghan becomes the target of one inmate who has beefed with Agatha. She is given a scalpel-like knife. Not being a killer, Meghan, despite her feelings towards the woman who took Ben, goes to Agatha and tells her what she was told to do. She then says Agatha isn’t worth hurting.

Jen visits Meghan and tells her daughter that she can’t do anything about Simon seeing Ben as he’s Ben’s father. Moreover, Grace and Simon watch the kids until she gets out. Meghan tells her mother that she wants Jack to wear the suit he wore to the Atley’s in his coffin. She also says she has applied to be at Jack’s funeral.

Later, the Governor confronts Meghan about what he was told, and she recounts what she was told to do. However, she won’t give up the person’s name as she doesn’t know it. Also, it would be too dangerous if she identified the person. Because of this, she is barred from going to Jack’s funeral.

11. Agatha Rats On Lorelei

After a conversation with Zoe, Agatha is told the minister is still unsure what to do about transferring her. However, Zoe explains that if she can tell the police about Lorelei being the mastermind behind the escape, it will heighten her chances, but only for the baby’s sake.

Not wanting to drop her daughter into the mess, Agatha agrees to do it. She writes a letter to Lorelei explaining everything. After doing this, she speaks to the police and tells them that Lorelei was behind the escape, which is the truth.

At Charlotte’s, Belinda arrives and tells her daughter she is in serious trouble with the police since she helped Agatha escape the maternity hospital. Belinda explains that the police have contacted Doctor Hocking to have a deal where she won’t be charged if Lorelei is admitted to therapy. Lorelei explodes when her mother searches her pocket and finds matches.

12. Cash Tests What Meghan Told Her About The Headlights

Cash does a reenactment of the night Meghan killed Jack, but what Meghan told her doesn’t add up. The car hasn’t been moved, and the lights of the second car aren’t strong enough to blind the driver.

Back at the prison, Meghan still has flashes of Jack’s death and still sees the headlights that blinded her.

Cash looks back at Simon’s interview to see if she missed anything. Simon mentions exactly what Meghan did. Cash’s boss walks in to see where she’s at regarding reconstructing the crime scene. She admits that what Meghan told her doesn’t add up. Suddenly, a phone call comes in about Lorelei’s AVO and the tracking device.
