How King Charles Is Embracing The People Of The United Kingdom

King Charles III, people person

King Charles III has always been a people person. The King of England has to earn the respect of the people as he has had a tumultuous relationship with them since his affair with his now-wife, Camilla, made him public enemy number one in the 1980s and late 1990s. His popularity fell to an all-time low when his former wife, Diana, Princess of Wales, died in a Paris car crash in August 1997.

Over the years, plenty of the public has had a change of heart regarding their personal feelings toward King Charles III. Why? Because he has kept his head down and gotten on with the job. Yes, his history is filled with controversy due to his alleged treatment of his first wife. However, Diana was not perfect either. She had an eating disorder and mental health issues that resulted in her throwing herself down the stairs whilst pregnant with their eldest son, Prince William, to get her husband’s attention. Just because someone doesn’t display a trait in public doesn’t mean they don’t have it in private.

King Charles III: The People Person

Charles has always been a people person who is willing to listen to his subjects. After the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on September 8 2022, King Charles III did something his predecessor wouldn’t have allowed to be done. He received hugs and kisses from the public.

Dickie Arbiter and his daughter Victoria in an episode of their web series, Royal Report, spoke about the King’s return to Buckingham Palace after the death of his mother. In the episode, Not My King? Dickie spoke about the new King having the car stopped outside the gates where he greeted the public. He even received a kiss on the cheek from a woman, something the late Queen Elizabeth II would not have allowed.

Also, in recent weeks, the King has run into cyclists while walking in Balmoral, Scotland. Some have suggested it was a Public Relations stunt, but we don’t believe so. The only way for Charles to be embraced by his people is for him to embrace them. In layman’s terms, he needs to be seen as present and meeting as many people as possible.

King Charles III And The Issue With Prince Harry

Charles is between a rock and a hard place regarding his wayward youngest son, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex. If he does nothing, he’s considered weak. However, if he does something and stripes all the Sussexes of their titles, he’s seen as cruel. It’s essentially damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t.

Harry has bashed his father in his book Spare and other media. He has even said he tried to kill his father by dispatching a jet that he allegedly called off at the last second. Moreover, he has accused Charles of not hugging him or caring after his mother died in Paris. Did it not occur to him that his pa was in shock? No, of course, he didn’t. He needs someone to blame for him “not being born first.”

The royal family is well known for playing the long game. Harry will eventually give up his whinging and cry himself hoarse. Charles is giving his son a way when his marriage goes belly up, and he needs an escape. However, the relationships the two once had will never be the same.
