We’re going, to be honest with you. We’ve never seen Netflix’s Daredevil series. Yeah, we’re lame as hell. Anyway, people love it, so we thought we’d cover an interesting topic in this post. With Kingpin appearing in Hawkeye and Matt Murdock popping up in one scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home, this is the perfect time to talk about which Daredevil characters may appear next. To make it fair, we’re going to go over ones from the Netflix show and those the Man Without Fear associates with inside the comics.
Daredevil v. She-Hulk In The Comics
What do Daredevil and She-Hulk have in common outside of being superheroes? They’re both lawyers and good at their jobs. According to Brian Cronin of CBR back in 2016, the pair have gone up against each other in a courtroom. Jennifer Walters is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2022 alongside her already existing cousin, Bruce Banner.
While Jen will only be starting, it’s unlikely she’ll interact with Daredevil so soon into her debut adventures with Bruce. However, there have been rumours that Charlie Cox could appear in the She-Hulk series. Math Erao of CBR wrote that the rumour claims Daredevil will show up but will not be the same version as the Netflix show.
Another worthy note is Jennifer and Matt dated in the House of M crossover event.
Given Charlie Cox plays Matt in Spider-Man: No Way Home during one scene, Daredevil is now official MCU material.
Elektra
One of the main love interests of Daredevil is Elektra as evident in the Netlfix show and in the Ben Affleck Daredevil film which is NOT MCU canon. She is an assassin who falls in love with Matt Murdock rather than Daredevil.
According to the Netflix shows, Elektra is considered a threat by the Defenders. Could she be the next Daredevil-centric character to appear in the MCU? She might be next as she has ties to the Thunderbolts in the comics as well the A-Force, a group of female superheroes.
It’s been teased since the release of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that Contessa Valentina Allegra De Fontaine is starting a team. Her first two recruits were John Walker/US Agent and Yelena Belova, a former Black Widow assassin and the sister of Natasha Romanov.
The speculation has led to people concluding that she’s setting up either the Thunderbolts or the Dark Avengers. The evidence leans more towards the Dark Avengers than the Thunderbolts. John Walker is a dark version of Captain America, and Yelena Belova is a dark Black Widow. Elektra wouldn’t fit into that group the way she would with the Thunderbolts.
Foggy Nelson
What’s a superhero to do without their best friend?
Spider-Man had Ned Leeds.
Captain America had Bucky Barnes And Sam Wilson.
Iron Man had James “Rhodey” Rhodes and Happy Hogan.
Captain Marvel had Maria Rambeau.
Matt Murdock has Foggy Nelson, a fellow lawyer with whom he started a law firm.
Foggy would be a great addition to the MCU as he wouldn’t be the comedic sidekick the way Ned is. He would be the serious sidekick who has more to contribute to the fight against crime rather than jokes and hacking skills.
Mapone Romanova
This next character might be a stretch given what the MCU has established already. In the comic storyline End of Days, it is revealed that Matt had a daughter with Natasha Romanov named Mapone Romanova.
This character is unlikely to appear in the MCU given Natasha is dead and sterile. This added to the Red Room history where after graduation, Black Widows need to be unable to form attachments. Moreover, this plot point was given a small nod in Hawkeye when Yelena, Nat’s sister returns to life after being blipped. A fellow ex-Black Widow named Ana had married in the five years she [Yelena] was gone and had adopted a daughter with her husband.
