The pantheon of characters in the Marvel Comics universe has grown since its inception. With it comes legacies of the unexpected kind in the form of the children of heroes and villains. In this post, we’ll dive into some of the surprise additions to the world we’ve come to adore over so many decades.
This list will only feature the children of our favourite heroes and villains who aren’t featured much.
Sarah Rogers – Daughter of Captain America And Rogue
On Earth-9811, Captain America and Rogue have a daughter named Sarah, presumedly after Rogers’ mother.
Sarah is a member of the Battleworld Avengers and is associated with the X-Men. Her alias is Crusader, and she wields her father’s shield after having “borrowed” it from him.
Azari – Son of Black Panther And Storm
Continuing with the X-Men for a parent, on Earth-555326, the Black Panther, has a son, Azari, with the mutant, Storm.
May “Mayday” Parker – Daughter of Spider-Man And Mary Jane Watson
On Earth-982, Peter Parker married longtime love Mary Jane Watson, and they had a couple of children together. However, their most famous child is their daughter, May. Nicknamed Mayday, she follows her father’s lead and becomes a superhero, becoming Spider-Woman.
Various Children of Daredevil And Various Women
Daredevil has had various children according to the End of Days storyline with different women. The story takes place on Earth-12121.
We briefly mentioned this in our previous Daredevil post, where we mentioned a daughter Matt had with Black Widow named Mapone.
Mapone was born blind, and she had similar abilities to her father. After Natasha’s death, Matt and his daughter weren’t on the best of terms.
The storyline also alleges that Matt had four other children; Franklin Gilliam with his ex-wife Milla Donovan, Matthew Natchios with Elektra Natchios, and twin boys with Mary Walker. However, this is only speculative as these boys have some semblance to Murdock.
Francis Barton – Son of Hawkeye And Mockingbird
Like the previously mentioned Azari, Francis Barton’s story takes place on Earth-555326 where his parents are Clint Barton and Barbara. He takes up his dad’s mantle of Hawkeye. He is seen to be similar to his father in personality as he threatens to punch people in the face as Clint would have.
James Rogers – Son of Captain America And Black Widow
James Rogers is the son of Captain America and Black Widow on Earth-555326.
Shang-Chi – Son of The Mandarin
The world knows the awesomeness of Shang-Chi. He is the son of The Mandarin, a famous Iron Man villain. Unlike his dad, Shang-Chi is a hero. He’s been a member of both the Secret Avengers and the Avengers.
Keemia Alvarado – Daughter of Sandman
Keemia never knew her father. When her dad discovered her existence, he built her a sandcastle.
