Roo Stewart has been through a lot in her life. She was a rebellious teenager who became pregnant with a daughter she named after her supposedly dead mother. She soon left Summer Bay and was absent for almost 30 years before she returned. Now, she is fighting for her life after the explosion that Mali tried to warn her and John of after Marilyn received threatening texts from the CEO of Stunning Organics, an MLM scheme that didn’t like being called out for conning people.

As we discussed in a previous post, three people were caught up in the blast, Roo being one of them. Mali and John were the other two. JP, as Mali affectionately calls John, suffered internal bleeding. Mali has a burst eardrum which local doctor, Bree Cameron, said would heal with time.

Roo, however, was the closest to the explosion. As the episode closed, Bree said Roo’s heart wasn’t pumping enough blood, and she came unresponsive. Also, with Alf and possibly Martha, his wife and Roo’s mother, returning home to the Bay, will they be too late and learn their daughter has died? It’s unclear as Roo’s fate currently hangs in the air. Also, Alf and Martha have not appeared in any recent promos.

Is This Goodbye For Now Or For Good To Roo?

As we cited in the previous post, Georgie Parker was going on a short break to do a play. Though it was pointed out by Back to the Bay that this could also mean she’s leaving permanently. We don’t know yet. Roo was reintroduced in 2010, the same year Marilyn was brought back.

Finally, a recent promo reveals that the police quickly find the person responsible. Moreover, we won’t know how this is done until probably tomorrow’s episode or next week. In conclusion, it’s still a massive waiting game. We await the excuse the perp throws to the police.
