A Blogger’s Product Guide To Skin Care At Your Desk

Any blogger knows your hands are the most important tool in their arsenal.

Working at a Hands up if you’re a writer. Blogger? Journalist? Novelist? Well, you’ll be well aware of writing with a pen or typing on a keyboard can be tiring. It can dry your hands out and make your skin crack.

As a full-time blogger, our hand skincare is one of the most important aspects of the job. Without our hands, there would be no blog. As time has gone on, we’ve come to find products that are ideal for our hands as well as our face, nails, and lips.

Micellar Water

As someone with oily skin, it has always been a challenge to find something to help with the excess oil that runs from the pores. We had seen Micellar Water advertised and decided to try it and the result was surprising.

Before now, we used to wash the face at night. Now, however, we wash it twice a day. The reason is because the oil in our pores is almost uncontrollable.

Our choice of brand for Micellar Water is up for grabs, depending on the price. We’ve used a mountain load of micellar water and find the Garnier Rose Water is one of the best there is. However, we buy it only when it is cheap.

Pawpaw Ointment

When you’re a writer, insect bites are often the last thing you want. That’s where Pawpaw ointment comes in. More than just a lip balm, this remedy is perfect for bites and cuts.

If you’re a parent, it’s also great for nappy rash. Just check the container or tube before you use it on your baby.

Vaseline

One of the most important things that sit on the Project Fangirl desk is Vaseline. It’s perfect for sore lips. A tube will last you a while. A couple of years even.

Hand Cream

Our relationship with Handcream has always been a tad touchy. As you’ve read previously in other posts, we enjoy experimenting with products to see what works. Handcream is no different.

We would recommend the Vaseline hand cream because it helps your nails grow too.
