Wait, Spencer Shay has a daughter named Potter? Does the iCarly gang have a new member? What was going on with the latest episode?! While Freddie and Carly attend their high school reunion, our resident artist attends to eleven kids who were conceived thanks to his sperm. When it becomes apparent that there are only ten holes on “Mount Spencemore”, Spencer and Harper try to determine which child is an imposter.
While all the kids have the Shay genes, Spencer becomes fond of a little girl named Potter. She is like him more than the others. When Potter’s mother shows up, she explains what happened. Spencer’s sperm was extremely popular, and when she decided to have a child alone, she used it too. She was also a nurse at the clinic.
All the kids have creative talent and exhibit Spencer’s specific characteristics. However, Potter stands out and is seen as a loner as she was left out of Mount Spencemore. When Freddie and Carly return from their high school reunion, their mouths drop when Spencer reveals that Potter is his daughter and that they’re the little girl’s aunt and unofficial uncle.
We Need More Potter Shay!
How far this plot thread goes for the rest of the season will be interesting. Potter doesn’t have to be in every episode. She can be referenced the same way Sam and other iCarly characters are.
It will be interesting to see how far this storyline will go, and we’re here for it. After all, Carly mentioned last season that the only family she and Spencer have are their father and grandfather. Finally, if the season finale title is anything to go by, it looks like there might be two additional members of the Shay family; Freddie, who might propose to Carly and Millicent, being his daughter and Carly’s unofficial stepdaughter.
