The Inhabitants Of The Tyche Cabin

Did you know that after The Last Olympian, eight additional cabins were constructed at Camp Half-Blood on Percy Jackson’s orders? After he denies godhood to Zeus, Percy demands that the gods start claiming and acknowledging their children to avoid demigods feeling abandoned the way Luke Castellan did by Hermes. One of the goddesses who got a cabin at Camp was Tyche who the goddess of luck and fortune.

Percy had the right idea as the whole reason many demigods had jumped over the Kronos’ army with Luke was because they felt they weren’t being seen by the gods and jump discarded like trash in the Hermes cabin which was overflowing with campers.

The Tyche cabin is one of the additional eight that was constructed. It is the second-last cabin, as cabin 19 or 16, depending on the Riordan Wiki, which lists both numbers on different pages. We’re going to use the Tyche Cabin number, 19, in this article.

The only known camper who is a child of Tyche is Chiara Benvenuti. The cabin doesn’t appear in any of the books released, The Last Olympian.

Behind The Scenes Of The Tyche Cabin

However, Rick Riordan said the Tyche cabin is similar to a mini version of a Las Vegas Casino. Also, the cabin can be moved and rearranged when needed. There are also large showers and state-of-the-art bathrooms that are private. Chairs can be pulled out as beds and so on.

Children of Tyche are good at gambling and any games of chance. Finally, their behaviour can often be unpredictable and random, and the kids have the ability to control their luck.
