Black Widow First Trailer and New Poster Released And We’re In Awe!

Widow

Scarlett Johansson is back as Black Widow, and we’re so excited! A trailer and new poster have dropped.

When they said a Black Widow trailer would drop on December 3rd, we thought they were making shit up. Turns out they weren’t! We’re officially geeking out over the first trailer for the film, which sees Natasha return to her old roots as a spy.

We’ll break the trailer down in a later post, but seeing Nat alive again and embracing being a Black Widow was just epic to see! For those wondering, this film will take place after Captain America: Civil War or at least, that’s what we’re hearing.

In the trailer, we meet Yelena (Florence Pugh) and Melina (Rachel Weisz), as well as Alexei (David Harbour), who were like family to Nat before she joined ranks with the Avengers. We even see an arrow-wielding dude in a mask. This is either Taskmaster or a disguised Clint (Jeremy Renner). We’re not sure, but it’s likely Taskmaster because there is no official confirmation that Hawkeye is even in the film. Or, it might be a disguised Rick Mason?

Here’s a look at the new poster!

How cool is the Black Widow poster? We love that the only words on it are ‘Marvel Studios’ and the release date. We will be covering the female characters later, but we’re just so happy this is finally coming to fruition. Just by looking at the trailer, this movie is going to be the very definition of a Spy Thriller. Cate Shortland is doing a fantastic job. We cannot wait to see more!

We cannot wait to see Natasha kick some severe ass again. We will comb through the trailer and break it down, even if it is in the past. But in the meantime, watch it repeatedly! We are!

Black Widow arrives in cinemas in May 2020.
