Breaking Down The Operation Paget Report – Part Two – Allegations Made By Mohamed Al-Fayed

Mohamed Al-Fayed, allegations, operation paget

Operation Paget was commissioned to investigate the death of Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Fayed, mainly based on the allegations made by Mr Fayed’s father, Mohamed Al-Fayed. The report examines the findings of the criminal investigation into what the former Harrod’s owner claims to be a conspiracy to murder Princess Diana and his son.

In this post, we will look at Mohamed’s allegations which lead to the conspiracy theories. In Part Three, we’ll debunk as many of Al-Fayed’s claims where we can.

The link to the first part of this project is above marked as Breaking Down The Operation Paget Report Part One – Introduction.

What Were The Allegations Made By Mohamed Al-Fayed?

The motive that Mohamed Al-Fayed uses in his allegations is Diana and Dodi’s relationship, and alleged engagement and pregnancy.

According to the Operation Paget report, many claims were lifted from documents and various interviews.

Mohamed Al-Fayed made the claim that he and others received information that Diana and Dodi were about to announce an engagement. Moreover, they’d chosen a ring from Repossi jewellers during a trip to Monaco.

Furthermore, please note that some claims will be repeated. Some claims pop up more than once on different sources in the Operation Paget report.

Allegations – Part One – ALL ALLEGED

  • On September 1st 1997, Diana and Dodi were going to announce an engagement.
  • Dodi told his father.
  • Diana told Mohamed Al-Fayed – allegedly told Al-Fayed simulanteously.
  • ‘People’ did not want to see Diana and Dodi marry and for Dodi to be the stepfather of the future king (Prince William) and wanted them deceased.
  • Dodi picked up ring from the jeweller across the road from the Ritz Hotel in Paris.
  • Diana and Dodi chose the ring together and were having it altered.
  • Individuals labelled as ‘they’ would refuse to accept a tanned Egyptian as William and Harry’s stepdad.
  • Morever, the ring was chosen at Repossi’s in Monte Carlo.
  • Dodi was killed because of his plan to marry Diana. It was Mohamed Al-Fayed’s claim that the Princess was carrying Dodi’s baby.
  • The couple met Albert Repossi while they were in Monte Carlo and picked out the engagement ring.
  • The ring was sent to Italy for resizing. Later, Dodi picked it up at Repossi in Paris on August 30 1997.
  • In addition, Mohamed Al-Fayed saw the CCTV footage from the French Repossi’s store of Dodi collecting the ring on August 30 1997.
  • Trevor Rees Jones falsely claims in his book that the ring had NOT been selected during the trip to Monte Carlo.
  • Thereafter, Dodi called his father on August 30 in the early evening. Next, he needed to return to the apartment because he’d left the ring there and wanted to ‘formally’ give it to Diana.
  • Diana was under surveillance by MI6 in Britain and the CIA and NSA in America. The American agencies were monitoring her phone. Moreover, the CIA and NSA had 39 sets of documents with 1054 pages. These were transcripts from phone calls Diana made to Dodi. What’s more, unspecified ‘they’ knew about the September 1 engagement.

Allegations Made By Mohamed Al-Fayed – Part Two – ALL ALLEGED

Finally, the alleged motive for the ‘murders’ was to prevent Diana from giving birth to a Muslim child.

  • Rumours started appearing in the media that Diana was pregnant by August 30 1997.
  • Someone named Professor Lecomte claimed Diana’s body had been embalmed partially.
  • By French law, embalming is part of the post mortem process.
  • An ‘independent expert’ claimed partial embalming makes analysis of samples harder to determine.
  • Any pregnancy test if presented with embalming fluids would give positive results. This includes if there is a pregnancy or not.
  • Dodi told his father that Diana was having his child.
  • Diana confirmed to Mohamed Al-Fayed over the phone that she was carrying his grandchild.
  • Dodi was murdered because he planned on marrying Diana and Mohamed believed Diana was expecting her third child.
  • Embalming Diana’s corpse was illegal as the autopsy had been to be done in London.
  • Mohamed Al-Fayed believes the body of Diana was embalmed to prevent the truth of her pregnancy getting out.
  • No explanation was given to why the Princess’ body had been embalmed an hour after she died. Also, who gave permission for this to happen?
  • The body was embalmed to ‘corrupt body samples’ that would’ve revealed pregnancy.

Allegations Made By Mohamed Al-Fayed – Part Three – ALL ALLEGED

  • Al-Fayed claims that ‘the Palace’ ordered Diana’s body to be embalmed.
  • A photo exists of Diana on the beach near Mohamed’s villa that shows she’s pregnant.
  • Diana allegedly either 2, 4 or 5 weeks pregnant.
  • Dodi and Diana informed Mohamed of his pending grandchild days before they died and that he had kept their secret.

Many of these allegations are debunkable, thanks to forensic science. There are ways to debunk things. Examples include through photos and, of course, through witness accounts. Moreover, this means people who knew Diana personally.

Mohamed Al-Fayed is a man who will make a mountain out of a molehill to prop himself up. Please see the post on why Prince Harry cannot acknowledge the truth about his mother’s death. The link is above.

Finally, we’ll cover these witness accounts in a later part. Furthermore, in the next part, we’ll debunk as many of Al-Fayed’s claims as we can. In addition, there is plenty of evidence mentioned in the report and articles from the 90s that are proof many of the allegations did not happen.
