Mini Royal News – 5 Bite-Size Bits On Harry And Meghan

mini

Mini royal news time, and our first bite-size piece is on 5 things Harry and Meghan have done this week to get themselves in the media.

As Harry and Meghan begin to fade into obscurity, they do their best to remain in the media by any means possible. We’ve compiled five bite-sized or mini pieces of news surrounding them that are worth doing a whole post on them.

Before we begin our mini news bite, we just want to say thank you to everyone who has made the last post we did on Oprah and Gayle King so successful. It really means a lot. So, without further ado, let’s jump into the first piece.

1. Chrissy Teigen Believes The Oprah Interview Improved Meghan’s Image And Wants to Do One Herself To Repair Her Reputation

Chrissy Teigen is a professional cyberbully. There’s no denying that; she is even a big supporter of Meghan. According to the Instagram account marklenews1, they found an article by Pedestrian that says the model wants to interview Oprah to repair the damage she inflicted upon her own rep when she cyberbullied many people. Umm… okay, MM’s mini-me, and we’re not talking about her height, as she’s really tall.

We’re discussing how she is trying to pull the same stunt with the interview. Will Oprah take her up on her offer? Probably not, and here’s why. Teigen is basically branching off Meghan’s narrative of how she was a ‘victim’ and blah-blah-blah.

However, Oprah is all about ‘your truth’, so she may say yes, given that Chrissy is pretty high-profile. But we’ll have to wait and see what happens. Yes, we felt sorry for her due to her miscarriage but she doesn’t know the true Meghan.

2. Will Harry Actually Attend The Unveiling On His Mother’s Statue?

For our next mini news piece, there has been a lot of back and forth on whether Harry will actually attend the unveiling of his mother’s statue at Kensington Palace on July 1. The Duke of Sussex said in the Apple Docuseries he produced with Oprah, The Me You Can’t See, that whenever he’s in London, it triggers his anxiety because of his childhood trauma of Princess Diana being chased by the paparazzi.

If this is the case, why did he fly through Heathrow Airport, which happens to be in London, for his grandfather, Prince Philip’s funeral? If this is how he felt, why did he attend? We could make this an entire blog post if we wanted, but the story changes so often that it’s hard to track the decision. That’s why we’re putting it here.

Now, we’re not refuting what he is claiming. Mental health is incredibly important and needs to be spoken about. But when there is a difference between talking about it and giving people the chance to open up and doing something to make it less of a stigma. In this case, trashing the royal family and indirectly claims they cause his trauma.

Should Harry show up? It depends if he’s doing it for PR for his own purposes. He can say he’s there to honour his mother, but the world has woken up to how he wants Meghan to have everything she deserves. What Meghan wants, Meghan gets, as the infamous saying goes.

3. Is Oprah Tipped To Be Godmother To Baby Lili?

Now, this next mini news piece has been floating around for about a week, but we thought we’d put it here because it’s not really worth doing a whole blog piece on it when it would only take up about 200 words or so.

Is Oprah tapped to be a godparent to baby Lili? According to a tidbit by marklenews1 on Instagram, the media mogul has shot down this possibility. An article from the Express says she is ‘already playing an important role in the child’s upbringing.’ Ah.. okay…

So, she is like an honorary auntie? After all, she did gift Archie his own library of books that are too old for him. Also, what about the little boy? Is she also playing a role in his life or just Lili? Sounds like she’s biased towards boys if this is the case.

4. A Child Calls Meghan’s Children’s Book, ‘The Bench’ Boring

MarkleNews1 on Instagram is on a serious roll when it comes to its content on the Sussexes. So much so that they’ve posted a review from a seven-year-old girl named Lexi Hope, who did a book review on Meghan’s debut children’s book, ‘The Bench’. She said that while ‘Princess Meghan’ is ‘pretty’ and Archie is ‘very sweet’, she found the book boring as nothing really happened. Ouch!

Now, this is a severe burn, and it’s not coming from a full-grown adult but a child. That must really sting! There have been kids who have enjoyed the book if the reviews on Amazon Australia are any indication. However, on the overall bestseller books list on the US’s Amazon, The Bench is sitting in the 47th spot in the top 50. Though, the book has somehow managed to become a New York Times bestseller in Children’s Picture books. How it got there is anyone’s guess, but we have our suspicions. This has been flaunted for the whole world to see on Archewell, which never had anything to do with the book at all. Though, the book was really a massive flop.

5. Meghan And Harry Want Nicole Scherzinger’s Brand Guru To Help Them

Our final mini royal news bit was also highlighted by the Instagram account marklenews1. In a Daily Mail article that was published recently, it is speculated that Harry and Meghan want to hire former Pussycat Doll singer Nicole Scherzinger’s brand guru to help them land big deals. Umm. Don’t they already have huge deals with Spotify and Netflix? Oh wait, they’ve done one episode, which was a crappy show of how privileged they are, by inviting celebrities onto the recording, which ended up behind whale sounds on the Spotify charts.

And they haven’t produced anything for Netflix. Though, there has been a rumour that they’re doing a docuseries on the Invictus Games that is set to be released in 2022.
