Ghostin’ At The Woodstone: A Look Back At Thorfinn & Sasappis

Sasappis, Thorfinn

We love Thorfinn and Sasappis! In our previous edition of Ghostin’ at the Woodstone, we spoke about Samantha and Jay. Now, we’re talking about the two oldest ghosts at the mansion; the Viking and herring-loving Thorfinn and junk-food-loving Lenape, Sasappis.

So, Thor and Sas might have been around longer than any of the other ghosts. They saw the creation of Woodstone mansion and learned to adapt to the times. For example, they both love watching reality television and Sasappis loves the smell of junk food.

Thorfinn is a little immature, though so is Sasappis at times. However, given they’re the oldest spirits at Woodstone, they are, in a way, the wisest. Sas is well-known for unintentionally bringing up previously learned pains. One example is when he brings up how Carole, Pete’s still-living wife, was sleeping with Jerry, Pete’s also living best friend.

This shocking revelation was revealed in the episode “Pete’s wife” which explores Pete dealing with his death and not getting to see his wife and now-grown daughter, Laura. This is also the same episode where Thorfinn freaks out over Jay’s mention of Ragnarok, in which he was actually referring to Thor: Ragnarok. His panic sets off Flower who also thinks the world is ending.

Thor and Sas identify with Samantha in different ways. Sasasppis, being a storyteller in life, was able to identify with Sam’s writer’s block when she was trying to create copy for the Bed and Breakfast’s website. Finally, with Thor, he is able to talk about his feelings and fears via a therapist due to Sam and Jay’s instance.

Ghosts Season 2 Is Coming In Late September To Paramount+

Finally, Thor had a good relationship with Hetty when she was a child and could see him. However, she debuffed him before she remembered that he was the “butler” whom she called “Gordon” who used to sing her to sleep.
