Former President Indicted

In a move that virtually everyone saw coming, former United States President, Donald Trump, will be charged with election interference, ABC has heard. Trump being indicted was bought on by evidence presented by a grand jury in Manhattan over the businessman having hush money sent to adult actress and former mistress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.

Trump has long blamed the democrats, but with the overwhelming evidence, it’s unlikely he’ll get out of this predicament. There has been an outpouring of responses from both sides of the American political divide. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, “No one is above the law.” Meanwhile, former Vice President Mike Pence, who served alongside Trump, said, “I really do believe that this decision today is a great disservice to the country.” He believes that all Americans will see it the same way.

It is believed that Trump will turn himself in on Tuesday, American time (Wednesday in Australia). Trump will turn himself in the early hours to avoid the media. However, we shouldn’t expect to see him in handcuffs, though he will have a mugshot taken.

Trump Is The First President To Be Indicted

Trump will be the first United States President to be indicted for a criminal offence. Moreover, his supporters are out in force to support him, and it had been speculated that there might be a riot. Finally, it has been said that the indictment may open a massive “pandora’s box” of other charges. It is quite possible, given that he has been accused of other crimes.
