Chronicles Of Harkle: Will Harry And Meghan Get Invited To Charles And William’s Coronations?

To be officially the monarch, a sovereign needs to have a coronation. When the time comes, both Princes Charles and William will each have a coronation. While this is still years away and Her Majesty The Queen has a few years left in her, I cannot help but wonder where Harry and Meghan sit in this. What’s more, is I’ve been wondering about this for a while. Originally, I was going to write a satire piece but thought better of it. Though, I may re-examine the idea after I’ve posted this Chronicles of Harkle post.

Harry and Meghan don’t deserve a relationship with the royals. The people who will organise the coronations will be sitting between a rock and a wall. If they don’t invite the Sussexes, it would be a snub. However, if they are invited to either coronation, it would cause a backlash.

Either way, no one will be happy. I can almost hear Harry’s moans of “I’ve done so much for them! I DEMAND an invite!” now. Honestly, it sickens me at how much of a greedy man-child he is.

Factors For Attending Coronation

There are a few things that I want to take into consideration. The first is the Sussexes’ marriage. Do the Sussexes love each other? It’s hard to say. They don’t share the same loving glances William and Catherine do. When they look at each other, Harry looks tired, defeated and deflated. Meghan loves him, but only because she has a title. Moreover, it will come down to if they’re still together when Charles or William becomes king.

Factor number two is the relationship the Sussexes have with the family. If healing has occurred, then I’m sure that they will be welcome. However, if no healing happens, I assume they’ll spin the story by claiming they didn’t want to go. Though, this is code for “We weren’t invited”.

For number three, if Harry and Meghan are together still by the time a coronation rolls around, at least one of them will make the event about themselves. Look at how Markle made Prince Philip’s funeral about her. She even put out a statement with what flowers were in the wreath.

However, there is one thing that I’m still unsure about. Will Meghan set foot in the UK, and will the kids accompany them? I doubt it. Those children (if they exist) will never walk through the gates of Buckingham Palace. Ever.

A fourth option would be Meghan would go, but only if her children got titles.

What Could The Reaction Be To A Non-Invite?

If the Sussexes don’t get an invite to one of the coronations, I can almost see the reaction back in Montecito. I don’t believe Meghan will care too much as she will never set foot in the UK again. Though, Harry will be the one angered. His reaction regarding the Commonwealth Day Service is a perfect example. He was pissed off because they weren’t put in the programme. That’s why he looks ticked in that now-infamous photo:

Notice the look on Meghan’s face. She’s trying to play it coyly, but there’s a genuine snake-like smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. If there wasn’t a camera pointed in her direction, I’m positive she would’ve beamed like the Cheshire Cat.

Harry would be cursing his father and exploding over how “horrible” he is. Then, he would trash his brother in a who-knows-what way.

How The Sussexes Could Ruin A Coronation

To finish this post, I want to conclude on how the Sussexes could ruin a coronation. So, knowing Meghan, if she were invited and decided to go, she would dress differently to stand out. Look at what happened with the Commonwealth Service (see the above image with the pissed off Harry). Another example is Prince Louis’ christening.

Both events had a colour scheme and Meghan had to make the event about herself by standing out. For the Commonwealth service, the attendees were supposed to dress in Commonwealth colours. Meghan saw that awful emerald green cape dress that made everyone, myself included, gag. Prince Louis’ christening was the same story. The theme was cream, white, and blue, and Meghan wore khaki green.

One final example was the red cape dress to that military event while they were still in the UK. It was a great looking dress, but Meghan should NOT have worn that colour as it clashed with Harry’s jacket. It’s not about standing by your partner by playing twinsies. It’s about respecting the fallen.

No other partners of the other vets were wearing matching outfits. If the dress was a different colour, I would be okay with it.
