Cue the eye rolls and the remote throwing! – Finn has not been dead very long, and Liam is already telling his ex-wife, Steffy, he loves her as she lays unconscious in the hospital. Steam will get back together once the dust settles. We are calling it right now. There are going to be some very pissed off Sinn fans. We’re not fans of Steffy, regardless of who she’s with, but this is getting ridiculous.
The writers of The Bold and the Beautiful must think the audience is stupid. Just because you make Steffy take down that photo of Liam and replace it with a collage of Finn doesn’t mean she still doesn’t hold a candle for her ex-husband.
Also, Liam is never going to change his waffling ways. If there’s a chance to be with Steffy, he’ll take it. While he claims to love and care for Hope, he can’t get over his apparent lust for his ex-wife. He’s no different to Bill, who claims to adore Katie but claims Brooke is the love of his life.
Doesn’t Liam remember that Steam fell apart when Steffy slept with Bill, and Kelly might not be his? They may have all these memories and milestones together, but that doesn’t change that Steffy is a man stealer. She has stolen all of Hope’s boyfriends in the past. The audience is not as foolish as the writers believe.
Many viewers have watched for 35 years. Others, such as us, have watched it on and off for years. The show has become less about fashion and more about the catfights surrounding the same set of characters.
How Much Longer Can This Go On For?
It’s tiresome and boring as hell. How many times can Ridge jump between women? Why must Brooke cry and whinge that Ridge is her “destiny” when all he cares about is his children? How much longer must we listen to Sheila complain that she has a right to see Finn and Hayes?
Steam has never lasted more than a couple of months at most. So what if they have a kid together? They’ve been married, who knows how many times. It never works out. Liam is always going back to Hope, though when things don’t work out with her, he goes running back to Steffy. The cycle will never truly end unless he leaves or dies.
While we were hoping Finn’s death was just a bad dream, it’s not. Tanner Novlan, who plays the hot doc, said in an interview that he didn’t know the character was going to die until he got the phone call from Brad Bell, as mentioned in a magazine article posted to the HopeBethSpencer Instagram account.
In our mind, it is as if the writers listened to the fans for a total of one storyline and then just did a 180-reversal by killing Finn. They have to realise that the Steam pairing does not work. It’s either that or just they really hate Hope and want her to suffer.
