Why Wasn’t Amber Heard Fired From Aquaman 2?

Amber Heard, Aquaman 2

Amber Heard is a domestic abuser and a liar who can’t keep her stories straight.  She admitted on video that no one would believe her then-husband Johnny Depp, because he was a man. However, when people started believing him over her, she defamed him by writing a not-so-subtle op-ed. She also used tactics to make him look terrible, which backfired. Depp lost his lawsuit in the UK.

Meanwhile, he had more chance of being cleared in the United States. While it did not give him back his previous roles in Fantastic Beasts 3, it gave him a sense of peace. He knew the criminal justice system would side with him. His lawyers did everything they could to fulfil that desire.

The reason why this is in the Spartan Initiative category and not the Celebrity one is because it falls into the domestic violence spectrum due to Amber Heard’s behaviour. In saying that, let’s talk.

Amber Heard Thinks The World Is Stupid

Amber Heard failed to realise that Johnny Depp’s lawyers had receipts of her lies. Even people who weren’t fans but knew the type of person the Pirates of the Caribbean actor was could tell she was full of hot air.

Sure, Depp had a past with drugs and alcohol when he was younger. But there are a lot of other people who have histories like he does. It’s not unique to just Johnny. It is alleged he had only filmed a few scenes for Fantastic Beasts 3 when he was cut from the film. His role as Gellert Grindelwald was recast with Mads Mikkelsen. Meanwhile, Heard got to keep her role of Mera in Aquaman 2.

During the Depp v. Heard defamation trial, DC Films president Walter Hamada testified that they considered recasting Mera as Heard and Momoa had zero chemistry. But they decided against it. Depp being dropped by Warner Brothers shows the studio’s inability to hear out both parties before making a decision. Heard would not have been cast in the DC Films without Depp pulling some strings.

The One Who Makes The Allegations Is Believed

So, why did DC Films and Warner Brothers not fire Amber? She was the one who made the allegations against Johnny, not the other way around. As far as the studio was concerned, she was a victim even after it came out that she lied. Also, Warner Brothers chose the woman over the “abusive man” to show that they support female victims. The last thing they wanted was to be criticised for not “supporting victims.”

Why couldn’t Warner Brothers have waited until there was some verdict before firing Johnny from his Warner Brothers projects? They didn’t allow Depp to defend himself.  Also, doesn’t anyone remember that Amber was paranoid? Why? Because Jason Momoa allegedly dressed up like Johnny to mess with her.

Jason has always had a boho sense of style. As has Johnny. Also, doesn’t Amber look at herself in the mirror? Throughout the defamation trial in the United States, she would dress like Johnny the day after he wore something the previous day. She was using her “plight” as the “victim” to get what she wanted, and that was to torment her victim. Not to mention, she was all over the place on the stand. She would change emotions so fast that it was evident she was playing it up.

Johnny Depp: Not A Violent Man

Johnny is not violent, and his exes (except Ellen Barkin), who were called in, had the same belief. At least they were consistent in their recollections of their relationship with Depp. Amber’s ‘evidence’ was often inconsistent. For example, the makeup set she carried with her to cover her “bruises” wasn’t created until a couple of years after the first alleged attack from Johnny.

Amber also made the mistake of mentioning Kate Moss falling down the stairs, which is why the supermodel had to clarify what happened when she was dating Johnny in the 90s. She explained that it had been raining. She had slipped down the stairs at their hotel. Depp had gone down to pick her up and carry her back to their room. Somehow, the news had made it sound like she had been pushed.

What Does This Have To Do With Domestic Violence?

Okay, so there are going to be people asking what this has to do with domestic violence. The defamation case exposed Amber Heard as a liar and the actual aggressor. Depp’s exes, who did side with him, said he was a total gentleman to them. Ellen Barkin, however, said he was a monster to her. He had undefined issues then and has made the effort to change his behaviour.

All Warner Brothers saw was a man who was guilty based on one person’s op-ed. They didn’t want someone like Johnny Depp, who did not have a criminal record, on their payroll, so they fired him in favour of an actress he had recommended for a role.

In conclusion, Amber Heard wasn’t fired from Aquaman 2 because she was the one who wrote about her then-husband. As far as the studio was concerned, they did the right thing, but they might be left to regret it as the film has bombed at the American box office and the reception has not been great. Warner Brothers are not only responsible for the failing box office numbers of the film, but they also thought about the money and how much they would be criticised for keeping Depp on the payroll. Thankfully, Dior stood its ground and believed in Johnny’s innocence.
