What Did Princess Catherine Wear To The BAFTAs?!

BAFTAs

Usually, we love Princess Catherine’s style. She rarely steps out in something against her comfort zone, but her 2023 BAFTAs look was a mess. The Alexander McQueen dress was a rewear, according to Insider of her 2019 dress, but with alterations. The bow on the shoulder, with the earrings and the black opera gloves, is cringe for us. Though, we do appreciate that the earrings were incredibly cheap.

However, we do have to give her credit for the off-the-shoulder look. Catherine rarely wears dresses like this, but when she does, they’re well-tailored and suit her incredibly well. She could wear a brown paper bag and still look incredible.

As always, the Sussex Squad has gotten wind of the look and claims that the Princess of Wales copied Meghan Markle’s look from The Queen’s funeral. First off, she didn’t. Meghan is the copycat. She has been stealing celebrity looks for years and has no original style.

Catherine’s BAFTAs Look: Long Before Meghan

Catherine has been a style icon since well before Meghan became a household name as Prince Harry’s girlfriend, then fiancée and later his wife. The Princess of Wales knows how to present herself. Meghan’s a sloppy dresser. She thought a messy bun under a veil for an event that millions of people would be watching was ideal for a wedding, like, come on.

Back to Catherine’s BAFTAs look, there was just too much going on. The first place you’re instantly drawn to is the gloves when the main attraction should be the gown itself. We’re not fashionistas by any means, but the look has received mixed reviews from many people.

Sorry, but Catherine’s BAFTAs look could have been better. This look for us has to be up there with that lemon yellow look in which the Princess of Wales left the Bahamas, which we were not in favour of.

In conclusion, Catherine’s BAFTAs look could have worked better without the gloves, bow, and a different set of earrings. Perhaps the earrings she wore to the Top Gun: Maverick premiere might’ve worked better?
